@538politics The rest of this report is a bit different than our normal offering.

We’ve pulled together info on official website statements, public appearances, town halls, tweets and quotes that each of our 20 MoCs made over the recess.

This bipartisan vote—long overdue—answers the needs of brave heroes who answered the call after 9/11. In contrast to Congress' delay, the 9/11 responders went to Ground Zero w/o hesitation— & w/o asking what toxic damages lay there, eventually causing many unspeakable suffering.
Hundreds of survivors & families in Connecticut & all around the country will finally see simple justice. Their sacrifices never should have taken so long to recognize or required them to plead with Congress.
I was proud to help lead this fight & will continue to work for 9/11 compensation fund justice. #Renew911VCF

Jon Stewart: “I'm walking the halls of Congress with 9/11 responders and survivors to see if 'Remembering 9/11' is more than a cheap obligatory slogan politicians tweet out. The fact that we continue to need to do this is beyond my comprehension.”

Due to lack of funding, the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund [VCF] is forced to severely cut pending compensation to 9/11 responders who have been waiting years for help.

Tell your Congress members to pass this bill to make the VCF permanent: 202-224-3121.
