Oh boy, oh boy, lets talk about this. #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #SellZSJLToNetflix
Before everything, lets remind you this: James Gunn is a liar. He lies until people enough swallow up his bullshit for him stop to be question about it.
1) If he's talking open in the air, is because is bothering him enough to ve a subject non grata. So that's why we have to come in full force Fabruary 14: because if thisbis a "wacky idea", why to be bothered? #SellZSJLtoNetflix #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix

Good lord, i have soo much to say.
BTW, to keep track on things: hear his bullshit here
First, if 'Joker' and 'The Batman' are officially DC Elseworlds, LITERALLY have no excuse for not #RestoreTheSnyderverse. Whatever do it in home or be wise to #SellZSJLToNetflix, no bullshit said can officially not make this happen, except the stupid free hate towards Zack.

NO VA A PASAR.

I rewatched #BatmanvSuperman almost a month ago now and I’ve been tweeting sporadically about what caught my eye this time. Wanted to compile everything in a 🧵 that you can check out below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse ImageImageImageImage

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for Part 2 of the last scene of the movie Amazing Grace in the 🧵 below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
Part 1 was all about different DC references out there. And today it’s all going to be about the references (and differences) from the Funeral for a Friend storyline. So much to dissect so this one (my last one) is going to be a long one 😅, so let's get to it! Image
First off, there are several homages in the Metropolis funeral in #BvS to Funeral for a Friend. ImageImageImageImage

This scene has many references. Several of them to the storyline in Funeral for a Friend. And then several others to different pieces of DC media/comics. So today, I’ll cover these latter types of references and next week I’ll close out with the Funeral for a Friend ones.
So, let’s start with these peppered DC references. First, we can see similarities in Superman’s funeral to the Comedian funeral in Watchmen. This is not too surprising since Zack Snyder was behind the camera in both. ImageImage

My intention tonight was to write about 'Black Adam' (a movie which i genuine enjoyed), but the world remind us if you are a DC Fan, you have no right to be happy. Because THIS happen, and its time to talk about and give my 2 cents. 🧵
Before dive in, FINALLY people are accepting that TSS floped (but a friendly tip, wasn't because of MAX dual release. From Mortal Kombat to Dune, all these movies had dual releases AND made bank).
"Walter Hamada" and "well liked" in the same sentence, what a joke.

Daily remind that:
- Emmerich and his crew hidden the numbers of everything from Discovery, including the real numbers of ZSJL. They are aware of the real numbers and not invest into #RestoreTheSnyderverse is ask for losing easy cash. [+]
Also, a very important remind that WBD have all the right to invest into the #DCEU again. Different of the Snyderverse, it proposes a long therm plan "without ending" and a build up for multiple franchises. [+]
We all know all that Snyder wants is rightfully close his story. the focus on what we should make noise is for ALL DC Fans have the same rights, sin't about "one win, one lose" or "if we have it, they can't". Focus on make sure ALL DC Fans are rewarded. #RestoreTheSnyderverse

This scene (and the next ones, ups spoilers) homage several parts of the continuation to The Death of Superman storyline in comics which was called Funeral for a Friend, an 8 issue storyline across different comics. Image
However, the first reference in this scene is not to this storyline, but to All Star Superman #5 with Lex in prison with the orange suit and a classical look after being shaved. ImageImage

Not surprisingly, there are homages to the The Death of Superman storyline and specifically to Superman #75 which is the final comic in this run. And what a better time to do this thread as we get closer to celebrating the 30th anniversary of this classical moment in comics! ImageImage
So, we start with Clark saying to Lois how much he loves her before his final fight with Doomsday. ImageImage

Why people on this fandom we are getting discussions and attitudes straight from 2018? Move on from that mentality people, is already damn time.
You have all the right to not want to watch a movie, that doesn't make it a boycott, and keeping that in your mind will only lead you to frustration. With that said: Ray Fisher not wanting to watch the movies under Hamada production is not a war call [+]
in special that Fisher defends you not attack other creatives. You not interested, don't watch it, is simple. But be careful to make something REALLY important to call out, what Fisher put his ass on the line to denounce, and make it about yourself and what you want. [+]

We all want for WBD #RestoreTheSnyderverse and realistic, this can still happen, with zack coming to shoot his ZSJL 2 & 3. Is just too big to be put away, and its shadow still covers whatever DCEU does and do in the future and is self-centric. HOWEVER [+]
The DCEU been streamlined was aways a possibility, was attempt since the previous regime + team H&O screw things up BADLY in JOSStice League, and never recover totally from that (and Geoff Johns egotrip). But the base were aways there to be used, and looks like they are using.
And this is not a bad thing, because remember: The Batman and Joker still exists apart of the DCEU, so that means that Zack Snyder's pentalogy can go in the same direction, and make everybody getting what they wanted. [+]

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for the mythical Is She With You/Trinity versus Doomsday scene in the thread below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
Several classical homages here to comics. Let’s start from one that was part of last week’s thread with Superman lying in space at the beginning of the scene and how it looks like Injustice: Gods Among Us #33. ImageImage
Then we get Batman saved by Wonder Woman as it is common in the Snyderverse. She has a very classical pose from the comics. And there might be several references in here. I really like how it looks like from Trinity #6 (which actually took place after #BvS). ImageImage

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for the Fallout scene in the 🧵 below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
So let’s start where we finish off last week because the homages to The Dark Knight Returns (TDKR) #4 continue. First, we have the bomb going off homage in #BvS. ImageImageImageImage
Funnily enough, after the bomb explosion we get Batman saying Oh God in #BatmanvSuperman and in The Dark Knight Returns we get a similar one. This one from Carrie Kelley worried not that Superman is dead but rather that Bruce is. ImageImage

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for the Into Space scene in the 🧵 below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
Just a small scene with a couple of references but one that I really like. First, we have Superman pushing Doomsday outside Earth. This is a homage to the Death of Superman storyline (specifically from the comic Superman: The Man of Steel #19). ImageImageImageImage
The homage visually continues for some seconds. Even we see Doomsday punching Superman in the direction back to Earth in #BvS close to how he’s kicked by Doomsday in this sequence from the comic. ImageImageImageImage

Several references and especially many homages to The Death of Superman (DoS) storyline. But let’s start at the beginning. First, as highlighted by @raveryn there are similarities in this scene between Lex and Lex Luthor from Superman for All Seasons
Then we get to the actual creation of Doomsday in which the imagery resembles the one from Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2. ImageImageImageImage

We all have seen the discussion about toxicity in Snyder fandom before. Ain't a exclusive problem, happens everywhere, and hammer that subject just give haters fuel to think they are right. There is a difference between "talk shit, get shit" and straight up attack.
Is that kind of thought what make me say again and again the fandom (from all sides) come back with 2018 mentality. Like, we know what to do, just keep doing it. Haters and doubters will continue their rotine anyway, so who cares?
The charity events retruned in full strenght, we still trend constantly, and ZSJL is a hit. If the streets are right, WBD already did the choice for ourselves. So keep hammering #RestoreTheSnyderverse and #ReleaseTehAyerCut.

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for the Warehouse Fight scene in the thread below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
It’s a quick one today. First, we get Batman jumping through a window in classical style. Just a classical comic look. For comparison, I like how it compares to this entrance from Batman in Superman/Batman #53.
Then, into the fight and first we get batman entering through the floor in a way that resembles quite a bit a fight in The Dark Knight Returns #1. ImageImageImage

Midweek 🧵 incoming! Last Monday I analyzed Superman/Batman issues #53-#56 and how they are references #BatmanvSuperman. It was a lengthy one, so I left a couple of references out of it. So, here’s a bonus track 🧵 with them! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse
First, Bruce and Clark meeting at a gala just like in #BatmanvSuperman ImageImage
Batman’s classic entrance looking like the one in the Warehouse scene in #BvS. Also, him entering sort of a warehouse in the comic! ImageImage

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, it’s time for Part 2 unpacking the Batman v Superman scene in the 🧵 below. Beware it’s a mighty long one 😅! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
Today it’s all going to be about the moment where Batman is about to be snapped out of his PTSD by Superman’s words about his mother, Martha. I wrote about this moment at length here if you want to check it out clarkjoedceu.wixsite.com/into-the-snyde…
But there is also an interesting comic reference to this moment that I only saw some months ago from @TheNewAsgard. And the more I got into the storyline that contains this moment the more I thought it deserved its own thread. So, let’s get at it!

This one is going to be a two-parter. There are so many people that have analyzed homages in this battle that in Part 1 (today) I wanted to share some references that I really like (from others) and add a few myself. ImageImage
Part 2 (next week) will focus on the most relevant part of the scene, when Batman snaps out of his PTSD by Superman’s words about Martha. There is an interesting connection to a DC comic there that deserves its own deep dive. But I won’t say more since, well spoilers 😂.

Right off the bat we have Diana Prince folding some clothes and in her bed we see Action Comics #1 (Superman’s first appearance), Detective Comics #27 (Batman’s first appearance) and #31, and Sensation Comics #1 (Wonder Woman first cover appearance). ImageImageImageImage
Then we get Diana scrolling over the news with some interesting headlines. Among them mentions to Stryker’s Island which is first mentioned in Superman Vol.2 #9 in 1987 as an island with a penitentiary in it (curiously same issue Ralli’s diner appears). ImageImageImageImage

It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry into the #BatmanvSuperman references the DC lore series. Today, a very short thread for the scene Tick Tock in the 🧵 below with only one reference! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse #BvSMondayMood Image
Only reference that I have seen mentioned around is regarding Superman talking to Lois, losing faith about humanity momentarily. ImageImageImage
This resembles part of his conversation with the priest in Superman: For Tomorrow (issue #204) where Superman states that his only sin was saving the world. In both comic and media he is hurt because he seem to be losing a loved one (Martha in #BvS, Lois in the comic). ImageImage

It is very hard for me not to think about Lex Luthor: Man of Steel (from Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo) during this scene. The imagery already is there from Superman flying atop and Lex seeing him from the ground. ImageImageImageImage
