2. It is through language that #COVID19 laws, regulations, rules, and guidance are written - which must be understood, interpreted, and acted upon by people. Precise messaging is easier to understand and act upon.

3. While 90% of people believed that “Stay home, protect the NHS, save lives” was clear, "Stay Alert" was immediately challenged, rejected by other UK nations, criticized, satirized, and - crucially - not understood by 65% of people.

Please don't obey the #RuleOfSix. It hasn't even been passed thru parliament as an act of law. No vote has taken place for it. We're at the stage now where the government is ruling by decree. If you obey this rule, you are endorsing a dictatorship.
Never mind that it makes no sense anyway. It's not 'only ever be near the same 5 people', it's 'dont be near more than 5 people at any one time.' so you could move from group to group and all intermingle and if there was a deadly virus it'd get around everyone anyway. 2/

I've been saying this for months now, but the behaviour of police globally over COVID-19 coupled with inconsistent application of draconian restrictions on civil liberties is over the top.

Day 2 of family self-isolation has been more academic in nature: the kids have (unprompted!) sorted their books into alphabetical order by the first letter of the author’s surname. I’ll teach them MHRA referencing tomorrow. #KidsAmusingThemselves #workingfromhome @nickisapiro
Day 3 of self-isolation has been more practice-led, with a focus on architecture and engineering. That’s just my take on things; the kids called it den building. #KidsAmusingThemselves #workingfromhome #KidsAtHome @nickisapiro
