On February 26, information was received that Ukrainian border guards and marines could be killed and wounded on #Zmiinyi Island. A civilian ship was sent to the island to carry out a humanitarian mission.
The ship was captured by the Russians. The illegal seizure of a non-combatant civilian ship that did not carry out any military tasks is a violation of the rules and customs of war and international humanitarian law.

2/ This is Russia which bombed hospitals in Syria, stirred hatred and societal polarization in the US, hacked the US networks and disrupted the energy grid, worked to influence the UK's Brexit referendum and achieved its goals.
3/ The same Russia which devastated Chechnya, destabilized and invaded Moldova in its Transnistria region, invaded and annexed parts of Georgia, Annexed Crimea in violation of Budapest Memorandum and a number of other documents, de-facto annexed Belarus
