Seksuaalista ahdistelua ja miesten taholta koettua väkivallan uhkaa käsittelevässä keskustelussa on ainakin briteissä puhuttu siitä, että pitäisikö keskustelu käsitteellistää uudestaan niin, että miesten toimijuus olisi siinä keskiössä.

A thread. Two years ago my good friend was involved in a minor road rage incident where his wing mirror was ripped off by a cyclist. He got out of the car to ask the cyclist what he was doing. Big mistake. The cyclist punched him unconscious. Broke his jaw. Put him in hospital.
His wife,my friend, a nurse was also attacked. Police were called but the cyclist disappeared. 4 weeks later my friend thought he saw the cyclist again and had a massive catastrophic heart attack. He was very much loved and missed so much.
After his death questions arose as to whether the attack had caused his death in some way. The police took interest. There was dash cam footage but we couldn’t it get to work. The police took it to their labs and viewed it.

I once knew a woman who was married to a police officer. They separated, after years of mental abuse, she left with their young children, moving into rented accommodation. And he stalked her. She never knew until he told her.
He showed her exactly where he could stand without being seen, to look into her kitchen windows. He showed her where he could park to monitor who went into and out of her property. He was convinced she was having an affair. Which, of course, she wasn’t.

In the wake of #SarahEverad death and the rubbish that some men are spewing on this street, I want to talk about how we allow the violence of men in plain sight because they are famous. These violence targeting women by famous men is not new. Let’s use #PiersMorgan & #MeganMarkle
It is really funny and dishonest that we pretend to not know that the action of #PiersMorgan is not driven by #FreedomOfSpeech but by the fact that #megan “rejected him” according to Piers himself.
This obsession of #PiersMorgan on #MeganMarkle is seen here in this picture. Imagine for once many women like Megan but without the influence of Megan who have fallen victim to men like Piers with all the power and connections. Who speaks for them?
