Q1: Is there MDT discussion for every sarcoma patient?
A1: Yes, ordinarily there is or should be. Occasionally, if an emergency decision has to be made, the patient will be discussed with other MDT members outside of the regular meeting.

Today, I'm beginning my 5th year of living with stage 4 cancer.
Three years ago today, I was diagnosed with metastatic #leiomyosarcoma.
Four years ago tomorrow, I was misdiagnosed (the primary tumor in my thigh was dx'd as a DVT; the tiny nodules in my lungs were dismissed as benign scar tissue).

2. @sandrapdangelo says grant will go toward 2 immunotherapy #ClinicalTrials. She hopes the first will open @sloan_kettering in late spring. The first will combine a CSF-1R (DCC-3014 deciphera.com/pipeline/dcc-3…) with #avelumab (#Bavencio en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avelumab). more ...
3. @sandrapdangelo doesn't know when the second #ClinicalTrial will open, but it will combine a PARP inhibitor (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PARP_inhi…) an immunotherapy drug that has not been chosen yet. "Other #sarcoma subtypes will be allowed to enroll," not just #leiomyosarcoma. more ...
