Israeli regime forces are forcibly evicting & dispossessing the Palestinian Salhiye family from their home in Sheikh Jarrah in occupied East Jerusalem. The brutal reality of a vicious Israeli occupation which sees them dumped onto the street in cold winter

BREAKING: Israeli forces demolished a two-story home on Tuesday in the Palestinian village of Nahhalin near Bethlehem.
The home belonged to a family of 8, including 3 children.

As Israeli forces destroyed the home, soldiers tear-gassed village residents who protested.
The home is one of at least 834 Palestinian structures demolished by Israeli forces in 2021 alone.

132 Jewish illegal immigrants stormed the Al-Aqsa courtyard mosque today.

Jerusalem: It is not enough to detain Palestinians, their donkeys are also 'detained' by the Zionist army.

The Israeli military claims the donkey should be arrested for being used by Palestinians to ‘endanger’ the Jewish population.

What's more degrading than being forced to demolish your own home or else pay your oppressors to do it for you? That's the decision Palestinians in #Silwan have been forced to make. Today, those who couldn't bear to demolish their home will watch as Israel demolishes it for them.
Approximately 1,500 Palestinians, including an estimated 930 children, in Silwan face violent forced displacement by Israeli authorities. Many of the dispossessed Palestinian families have lived in their Silwan homes for generations. #SaveSilwan
The US and much of the world remain silent as Israel *illegally* demolishes Palestinian homes and ruins Palestinian lives to make way for a religious theme park.

This is ethnic cleansing– plain and simple. And it must END. #FreePalestine

Israel has renamed the Palestinian village of Silwan to an Israeli name in anticipation of their occupational violence.

There is a deadline for Palestinian families to demolish their own Palestinian homes on Palestinian ground, or pay Israel for the demolition of their homes.
This is ongoing, right now. Many of the Palestinian families that live in Silwan have indicated they do not intend to cooperate with the destruction of their homes by the illegal occupation, and we all know what is likely to happen to them. #SaveSilwan
Occupation, apartheid, persecution, silencing, violence, destruction, erasure. This type of occupational escalation is happening is so many places across Palestine right now that just listing them would take most of a tweet.

Silwan at large is facing ethnic cleansing, but today we must talk about the Bustan neighborhood in Silwan. Here's a thread. #SaveSilwan
#SILWAN: Palestinians in Silwan's Bustan neighborhood refused the Occupation's orders to demolish their own homes to make room for Zionist settlers. Their homes might be demolished at any minute. To state the obvious, this violates International law.
Atop the Bustan's rubble, there'll be a park. But it isn't just any park. The Occupation authorities often declare a piece of land as a “national park,” if "it contains archaeological discoveries." The Bustan does not meet this criterion. So what are "national parks" in reality?

Guidelines and safety protocols for all those going to the #BlockTheBoat action in so called Vancouver!

The goal of this action is to ensure Zim knows their profiteering from Israeli settler colonialism is not welcome here, not to be arrested.

Block the Boat Guidelines
1. Do not talk to the police. There are police liaisons whose role is to do this. If police talk to you, direct them to the police liaison.

2. If you have a concern or need help during the action, talk to an organizer. Organizers are wearing brightly coloured armbands.

The arrests of Muna and Mohammed El Kurd are completely unacceptable. As two of the most vocal activists in bringing international awareness to #SaveSheikhJarrah, these are political arrests designed to censor Palestinians from speaking out.

The international community must put pressure on Israel to release them. If you care at all about freedom of speech or the rights of marginalized people to protest apartheid this issue should be of huge concern to you.
UPDATE: MUNA EL-KURD HAS BEEN RELEASED, but we still need to push for Israel to #FreeMohammedElKurd. We don't know what's happening with him.

I am a runner.
I run marathons around whole world. Never have I been attacked violently by police forces as I was today, during the Jerusalem run from #SaveSheikhJarrah to #SaveSilwan.
I was beaten six times, attacked by Israeli forces, for running in my ancestral town & city.
We ran 3.5 kilometres from Sheikh Jarrah to Silwan. I arrived at the finish line Batn Al-Hawa, Silwan neighbourhood under threat of ethnic cleansing by Israel.
All runners wore t-shirts that had # 7850 printed on back, the number of Palestinian Jerusalemites under threat.
Out of nowhere, Israeli forces raided the finish line, where we had gathered and been singing songs, drinking water, and resting our legs.
They were violent, attacked everyone indiscriminately, beating, throwing grenades, & firing rubber bullets at some.

Like most Jews of my generation, I grew up with the phrase “Never again.” My mom is a Holocaust survivor and it resonated. But if the phrase is to mean anything it has to apply to all people.
Last week was 73rd anniversary of the Israeli massacre at Tantura, a Palestinian fishing village. It was one of at least 37 massacres that took place during the Nakba (or “war of independence” as Israel calls it).
A survivor reported:

One officer selected 40 men and took them to the village square. Each four were taken aside. They shot one, and ordered the other three to dump his body in a big pit. Then they shot another and the other two carried his body to the pit and so on.

This #NakbaDay, 100s of our members sent photos opposing the #OngoingNakba in Jerusalem.

Our Jewish solidarity shows that Israel's expulsions are not about religion but about land theft, ethnic cleansing, and ethnic supremacy — just as they were in 1948.

In Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan, 1,500 Palestinians face the threat of forced displacement and home demolitions by Israeli settlers working in collusion with the Israeli government and military.

Most families in these neighborhoods are refugees from the beginning of the Nakba in 1948, when Zionist militas violently expelled 750,000 Palestinians from their homes. For them, their impending forced displacement in 2021 is especially painful.
