Huge congratulations to @Endurance_22 and @NatGeo for finding the wreck of #Shackleton’s #Endurance. The wreck is amazing but can we also talk about some of the #Antarctic sea floor creatures that now call it home! Add any others you spot to the thread! (1) ImageImage
Huge #Antarctic sea anemones (Hormathia or similar) dangle their tentacles in the icy water! All of the animals that I have spotted so far are filter feeding! (2) ImageImageImageImage
Sea squirts pump water in and out through their two syphons to collect plankton and marine snow (dead things and poo raining down from the surface). (3) ImageImage

@Manglewood Here is a pic of stowaway Perce Blackborow on Shackleton's Endurance with Mrs. Chippy, the ship's cat.
@Manglewood In case people would like to read more about Shackleton's men and his expeditions, here's a shot of part of my polar shelf. Please buy/order at your local indie! @indiebound @IndieBookshopUK #Antarctica #Shackleton
@Manglewood Here's a stunning pic from much later in the expedition; the Endurance in mid-winter trapped in the ice. Struck from the original glass negative taken by the courageous and talented Frank Hurley, the expedition photographer. nla.gov.au/pictures/frank…

I don’t think of myself as a great doctor but I know there is no success in medicine without preparation and organisation therefore I have just spent 2hours organising our inpatients medical case note folders after today’s #WardRounds @DrGrumble @CLOSLER @j59dd
I don’t know what had happened in the 3 weeks since my last Physician of the Week but someone must have decided that entropy into chaos was the best way to organise inpatient clinical notes and won everyone over. Entropy is easy, organisation is unremitting hard work
I cannot do #WardRounds nor #Outpatients without knowing who the patient is as a fellow human being and without Problems Lists but many contemporaries seem happy without either. I follow #LarryWeed @VisualDx @writer_samshem
