Estou no nono dia de cobertura do #SinodoAmazonico e é impressionante o preconceito de alguns jornalistas estrangeiros (sobretudo europeus e norte-americanos) com os povos indígenas. Todo dia há demonstrações de ignorância e racismo ao tratar do tema, um dos principais do evento.
As perguntas e comentários são reveladores: muitos ainda consideram os indígenas selvagens de segunda classe. Visão, aliás, de muitos brasileiros.

The path to the Black Catholicism found in America today was long and arduous. What came to be seen as White/European Catholicism was forcefully questioned by Blacks galvanized by the Civil Rights and Black Power movements.
