Shelter-in-place Day 40 deep closet finds: @ILMVFX 40th anniversary pin from 2015. Finally got (nearly) all of my vinyl out of mailers and into crates and saw the back wall of my closet for the first time in years. More buried treasures to come. #StarWars
Shelter-in-place Day 41 deep closet finds: #SoloAStarWarsStory @ILMVFX crew gear socks from 2018, the pattern on which is based on young Lando Calrissian’s shirt which is, in turn, based on the Ralph McQuarrie sketch below. Apologies if I’ve posted these before. #StarWars
Shelter-in-place Day 42 deep closet finds: #SoloAStarWarsStory embroidered crew gear puffy vest, still in the bag (outside of taking this photo). #StarWars

Did you like the Dornean Gunship, Braha'tok-class? You will love the Arrestor Cruiser ! A story certainly better known, but it will have taken 43 years to appear (extremely briefly) on the big screen. Let's go for a new #StarWars story
Arrestor Imperial Cruiser - Solo : A Star Wars Story ( @RealRonHoward 2018)
Concept art (1975) by Colin Cantwell.
@RealRonHoward Present on the screen for a second or two in Solo: A Star Wars story, this design would go back almost to a few details, to 1975, when the Star Destroyer had not yet won the design that we know.

Last night my wife made a Han themed cocktail for #SoloAStarWarsStory. It's got gin, coffee liqueur, a cherry, and some other stuff. Like Han, it's bold and risky but it works. Anyway, here's a thread on the movie, why I love it, and why I think people should watch!
I love Solo because its veins are pulsing with pulpy, old movie serial pacing and inspirations. It's a fast, fun ride that zips through the genres of sci-fi, fantasy, western, romance, Lovecraftian horror, gangster, buddy comedy, heist, and more. It's a tour of #StarWars' roots.
BUT even more than that I love its big picture themes. Everyone in the movie is longing for their freedom. Han, Chewie, Qi'ra, Beckett, droids, Wookiees, children, entire planets. Their freedom is denied by the oppression of the Empire and its complicity with vicious criminals.
