The @NSF for the Future Act will scale up investments in fundamental research and support efforts like @OregonState’s Taani, a research vessel that will map the seafloor & help identify geologic structures important in predicting Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquakes.
The @doescience for the Future Act will advance the next generation of clean energy, energy storage, and manufacturing technologies. DOE’s work contributes to important discoveries to decarbonize the electricity sector, strengthen quantum computing, and more.
#SolvingTheClimateCrisis demands urgency--reaching net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050 requires a rapid and far-reaching transition at an unprecedented scale. C180 believes CDR must be a part of an ambitious decarbonization agenda, and we appreciate that the @ClimateCrisis cmte agrees
