About that ^^^ idea of re-using slag from terrestrial mines: the tech for lunar mining will be perfect for this, since it will be adapted to using crushed rock (like lunar regolith) of ordinary minerals (not concentrated ore) so this could solve a major enviro challenge.
And here are the recommendations from the Extraction breakout session. This provoked an argument since someone said the tech isn’t ready but others disagreed. In fact, I got to see the field test of these technologies in 2012. They *are* ready. #SpaceResWeek
