I compared my Twitter-based traffic to ACASignups.net for the same period in 2022 & 2023 (3/01 - 4/30 each year).

I posted 79 blog entries during that period last year and 77 this year, and I tend to promote all of them equally.

Traffic via Twitter is down 71% y/y.
Related: I received around 4% as much traffic to ACASignups.net via #Spoutible in March/April 2023 as via Twitter...with around 4% as many followers. So I guess that tracks?
I don't know how much traffic I've received via #Mastodon because it doesn't show up in my analytics--I assume this is due to the decentralized nature of Mastodon?

99/ Musk updated Twitter's hateful conduct policy to specifically remove protections for trans people, from targeted misgendering and deadnaming.

Musk previously wrote "the pendulum swung too far" towards equality for LGBTQ people (also see tweets #23, 43, & 87 above☝️). ImageImageImageImage
100/ Musk-Twitter made this entire thread "unavailable" to some, but *not* to me & a few others.. except for the 1st & last tweet so it's not detected.

Twitter ZEROES out ENTIRE list of accounts I follow, so no one can DM me notice when it happens, & I don't get notifications.👇 ImageImageImageImage
101/ Musk-Twitter blanked my DMs & "Cautioned" everyone against viewing my profile & tweets when it ZEROED accounts I followed & made my Musk thread "unavailable" (see #100)

Non-explanation: "There has been some unusual activity from this account. Do you still want to visit it?" ImageImage

91/ Musk says manipulating public opinion is key to success per others, admits building AI to do it, & is engaging in "psy ops", operations to convey selected information to influence emotions, motives, & objective reasoning, & ultimately behavior of govts, orgs, & individuals. ImageImage
92/ (clarification to #91) Tweets 1-90 in this thread show that Musk is actually doing what he accuses others of doing in screenshots of #91. Compare to when Trump accuses others of something, which is typically an admission. This is an example of "psyop" methods.
93/ Musk labelled NPR “state-affiliated media,” as done w Russia’s RT and China’s Xinhua.

Before, Twitter guidelines said govt funded media don't get label if editorial independence from govt, giving BBC & NPR as examples.

NPR has independence. Twitter labeled w/o explanation. ImageImageImageImage

If I click on this @nytimes story from #Twitter I see only this code string:

Proof that #Spoutible template was purchased (aside from the fact that #Bouzy admitted as much/confessed he didn’t build it from scratch in his Space) will be provided in replies to this tweet.
Marco’s brilliant thread showing #Bouzy purchased an $89 template from a Russian developer 1/
Next, Fareesh getting Bouzy’s profile through the Russian developer’s demo 2/

Guy keeps flip-flopping & disinforming. @marco_schuer discovered #Spoutible public API revealed IPs, names, addresses... of ~65K users (photo) When this was patched, @fareesh found ~25K user emails still exposed (see m.youtube.com/live/XtWtYeECC…). There was a leak in the sense that 1/
Private user data was exposed in the public API. This was not a hack because the public nature of this data was a FEATURE of the template purchased for Spoutible. In other words, the template used was working correctly but needed to be changed to ensure data privacy. It wasn’t.2/
#Bouzy likely didn’t perform the promised security review (where is the report?) and deployed the template without noticing this feature. Now, Marco and Fareesh are decent people so didn’t release this data to the public. Fareesh did show proof if asked by that user only. 3/

so @cbouzy appears to have targeted my #spoutible acct & suspended access to it despite my not having broken any community policies (in part bc there aren’t any but mainly bc I hadn’t posted anything yet). but my account is still live—he’s just taken control of it 🫠
this is likely in response to my critiques of spoutible’s content moderation practices (or lack thereof). I was genuinely excited for the platform & disappointed last week when bouzy rolled out an unfinished product, flaws in which I wanted to point out before it got out of hand
this isn’t my being a troll—there are major consequences for these oversights!

I get why @cbouzy is loathe to discuss plans to moderate CSEM. but for @spoutible to survive, it needs to be in compliance w 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, which mandates that platforms report CSEM—even if it doesn’t ultimately go live—to NCMEC. failure to report comes w a fine up to $150k.
I was already concerned about #spoutible’s mission to create a safe space for marginalized communities when I saw its gender & language options, but these are issues that can be easily addressed & tweaked down the line.
but #spoutible’s complete lack of community guidelines—which @cbouzy brushed off bc other platforms like youtube & twitter have solid policies but rarely enforce them—is practically an invitation for bigots to attack marginalized users, now conveniently collected on one platform.

Currently listening in here. I'm so excited and also gonna use that 'delete comment" function for yt nonsense. 😂
Ok, well I promise not to abuse it.
.@cbouzy being honest that there will be mistakes and growing pains but he & his team aims to make a space for us marginalized folks. #spoutible
