Bumblebees reproduce at the end of summer. New queens hibernate over winter and emerge in spring. Last year’s heatwave doesn’t appear to have had a major effect on the number of queens going into hibernation, otherwise we would have seen fewer queens this spring.

The Osmia Bicolor Bee only ever builds her nest inside empty snail shells (here, the Cotswold limestone hills).

The London Resort theme park has passed its 1st planning hurdle - and it is a death sentence on nature in SE England. Conservationists are trying to save this amazing nature space, but with 2.5bn investments & a government committed to infrastructure projects, what hope is there?
Swanscombe includes habitats that have become rare with urbanisation along the Thames, such as chalk grassland, wetlands & brownfield. It is home to 250 insect species of "conservation concern" - that is, at risk of extinction!
Of course, there are rare plants, such as Hairy Vetchling, Round-leaved Wintergreen, Pyramidal/Man orchids. It is also an important site for bird life, from residents to migratory birds which are able to stop and feed away from the bustle of the city & nearby industrial estates.

A Conservative MP has one objective: to get into power.

Any lie, any nonsense - it will all be fed.

Just to get into power.

But once in power, the gears change.

The Conservative MP is then driven by betrayal.

Betrayal of every assurance.

Every benefit.

Every advantage.....
That was sold.

Car manufacturing: we will let that be destroyed.

Food standards: we could not care less.

Farms: oh, we will destroy them by not letting them be able to sell to the EU on one side,

And, on the other side dumping vast quantities of abysmal standard shed grown...
meat from the US. Of course breaking every promise and assurance that we made.

Aerospace industry - let that be broken up and sold. The pride of Britain - we don't care.

Small businesses of the UK - the backbone of the British economy - oh well, let that backbone be broken....
