Alaska HB140 has a hearing scheduled for 4/29 @ 1:30pm Alaskan time, the requirement for a hearing notification has been waived. This is another anti-trans sports bill based on "biological sex", but without any clear definition on how that would be defined.

Tennessee SB 2316 + SB 2153 has combined in the House and passed the floor vote, aka it has passed both chambers. This bill targets trans-girl students, which bans students whose "biological sex" is male from participating in “female, women, or girls sports”
Tennessee HB2633 has passed the House and is going to the Senate. Under this bill teachers and staff will not be required to use pronouns other than those corresponding with their “biological sex”. This is institutionalized cruelty for no other reason than to be cruel.

Arkansas HB230 has added Rep. Kevin McCabe added as a sponsor. This is a basic cruel anti-trans sports bill that mainly targets trans girls and allows students to sue the institution that they feel they lost an "opportunity" due to a trans student.
Tennessee SB2153 is on the regular floor calendar for 4/11. This sports bill banning “male” students from “female” sports based on their birth certificate. There is absolutely time to reach out to your representatives to stop this horrible bill.

Georgia has adjourned it's legislative session and thus has had 5 bills cease to be active! These are SB435, SB266, HB401, HB372, and HB276. Most of these have not moved in some time and may be resurrected next session, but for now we can breathe a sigh of relief!

Alabama HB322 has passed the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee with a favorable report. It is now on the Senate floor and if passed, shall be sent to the Governor. This is a bathroom bill that applies to all public schools, and defines "biological sex" by birth certificate.

South Carolina H4608 passed house committee. This is a standard anti-trans sports bill, mandating that athletics at secondary + postsecondary schools divide athletics by "biological sex", using genitalia, genetics + testosterone.

Arizona SB1138 and SB1165 were signed by the governor today. These bills prohibit access to trans affirming health care and block trans women from competing athletically with their peers. Both bills are harmful and destructive, not to mention cruel

Pennsylvania HB975 was officially tabled today! This was a higher education sports bill in the typical vein, and had been languishing in committee for nearly a year. It has finally be officially killed! One more state cleared!

Unfortunately, the veto for Utah HB0011 was overturned. This is a sports bill that would have a commission inspect children to ensure they conform to "standards" for their assigned gender. This is a cruel and heartless bill that targets a literal handful to be inspected like meat
Missouri SB740 has a hearing tomorrow at 12pm CST. This is a large "religious freedom" bill centering on student education that allows parents to interfere massively in their child's education combined with a standard anti-trans sports bill. Please attend if you are able!
Again. I'm going to bring up that this law is also a "don't say trans" law. That aspect is constantly forgotten. If you ignore our battles you leave us to fight alone. You leave us to die.
In fact, considering the national state of anti-trans legislation right now, I would argue that it's MORE relevant to call this a "Don't Say Trans" bill than a "Don't Say Gay" bill. The attacks on trans lives are widespread and yet the outrage? Nonexistent.
This is because it's still acceptable to target trans people. It's still acceptable in polite society to attempt to eliminate us. There's no outrage because people don't feel outraged at the idea that trans people will die.

Starting with some delightful news, Indiana has vetoed HB1041!! This was a sports bill banning students from sports that don't align with their birth certificate as written at birth! This is a huge win for student athletes!
New Hampshire has tabled their last bill, removing them from the board! Bill 1180 is dead, and would have proclaimed that amended birth certificates do not apply to athletics, prisons, or places of "intimate privacy”.

Great News🥳!! Utah HB0011 has been sent to the Governor, but he has stated he shall veto, thus it is dead! This would have banned students from competing in gender-designated sports that do not match the sex designation on their unchanged birth certificate.
Utah HB0127 has also failed as of March 4th. This would have made it illegal for any physician or surgeon to perform any treatment or give any diagnosis related to gender transition in minors under the age of 18.
