📢 Scientists of the @IPCC_CH released their latest report today. #Climatechange is causing dangerous & widespread disruption, the report finds. #Gender features prominently and is mainstreamed throughout the report. Here are a few key takeaways:

Gender worsens the impact of #climatechange, making it harder for women & gender minorities to cope. But even among women, the impact won’t be uniform. Location, poverty, race/ethnicity, religion and age all compound an individual’s vulnerability to #climatechange
This means women and gender minorities who are poorer with limited access to resources, those from marginalized communities and elderly women will be hit harder. Some of this I’ve unpacked in my previous reporting.

Sundarban area in Ganga delta consists of 100+ islands formed by innumerable creeks and tributaries of Ganga-Bidyadhari-Matla-Noni-Ichamoti-Raigmangal rivers.
Out of 54 inhabited islands, we could reach out to only 2-HerambaGopalpur & Moipit

A recent study says most #honey brand in #India are adulterated. Friends here we present forest honey from #Sundarban. Bonphool honey from Sundarban is available online also. Every bottle of honey purchased contributes to conservation & provide livelihood to traditional people.
It is through Joint Forest Management Committee. Which is formed by traditional honey collectors of Sundarban. It not only provide livelihood to them but also help in conservation. Also good in quality.
