Nothing in the official #Synod2018 documents seems to pass the sniff test. For instance, to communicate with youth, Synod says: "We propose a two-element solution. Firstly, a series of small messages, updates, perhaps at the end of each week from the Commission for Information."

Hay que trabajar la celebración, ciertamente. En una sociedad como la nuestra competimos contra muchos estímulos. Pero aquí se apunta a un problema que no es propiamente de los jóvenes, sino de la clase de sacerdotes que se esperan.
Se está sugiriendo en el Sínodo que se trabajen en la celebración la música y la predicación. Y que exista una catequesis previa sobre el significado de lo que se vive.
No todos los sacerdotes pueden explotar una vena de showman. Incluso dudo que eso sea lo correcto. Hay que ser, no aparentar ser. Como ministros y servidores del Misterio no tendría sentido hacer histrionismos.
