To all those celebrating Indian team's early exit from #T20WorldCup21 enjoy your brief moment of schadenfreude as this team rarely affords you that opportunity but do keep in mind 1 thing..

..that you'll are also celebrating the acceleration of the inevitable demise of international cricket & the downfall of your own cricket board.

Team India's early exit means broadcasters & sponsors will bear heavy losses. All those unsold premium ad slots means Star Sports will be lucky to break even on this tournament. This after the flop that was the 2019 ODI WC is a hard strike to their bottom line.

Reasons for India's early exit (in descending order) -
1. Toss
2. Conditions
3. Poor Intent
4. Bad play under pressure
Selections - which everyone is saying is the main reason - is not even 10%. That would have come into play only if we had lost games marginally.

The very same XI will win vs England if they had won tosses/if the conditions didn't change drastically mid-game/in a bilateral series.
It always shocks me when cricket watchers, ex-cricketers, commentators, "experts" etc don't talk about or don't acknowledge the effect conditions have (unless it is to bash India for "rank turners") on an outcome of the game.
