I said it on Saturday when @rerutled and I went and I felt as much today at the receptionist: Taking Shape: Abstraction From the Arab World is a breathtaking and revolutionary art show. I had such a great time tonight. Met friends I hadn’t seen in over a decade. Made new friends. 
So many conversations with so many art lovers excited to see artists from our part of the world recognized and celebrated. One of the highlights was meeting @ZidanSports and his wonderful family, who were there to celebrate his grandmother the artist Menhat Helmy. #TakingShapeNYU

Taking Shape: Abstracts From The Arab World, 1950s-1980s at @NYUGrey is a must-see and needs time. I was able to see just half of it on Saturday and will be returning to complete it
