Let’s talk about..
ACRONYM SPAGHETTI!

Specifically, what’s all this about?

SSC - Safe, Sane and Consensual

RACK - Risk-Aware Consensual Kink

PRiCK - Personal Responsibility in Consensual Kink
As always, these are just my opinions, there are no rules in BDSM, and you’re looking fiiine today😉

These acronyms come up often in kink (not just BDSM) and are different ways of describing the way we approach certain activities. Most stuff in BDSM has the potential to be...
...dangerous if handled incorrectly, but with a modicum of common sense or knowledge you should be fine.
As always, consent is important; informed consent even more so. The difference is that asking someone if you can choke them and them saying “yes” is consent;

Let’s talk about... “You’re not a real sub if you don’t...”

As always this is my opinion, there are no rules, and make sure to pass the dutchie on the left-hand side.

This is prompted by a number of similar questions I’ve had recently, where a sub has been told...
1/
2/
...that if they don’t do certain things, then they must not be “a real sub”.
This is what we in the kink world refer to as “absolute shite of the highest order”.
There are no rules, remember. There’s no definition of what makes a sub “good”, no benchmark to refer to.
3/
Generally the only thing that each question I’ve received has in common, is that the sub has been asked to do something they’ve said is a limit. “A good sub wouldn’t have that as a limit” is rubbish. You can have anything you want as a limit.

Let’s talk about... Lube

I’m writing a comprehensive guide to anal, and i realised that lube is often a mystery to people- so it’s ideal for an LTA!
For once, this is mostly FACT, with the occasional opinion.
There are three main types of lube you can buy:
Silicone-based
Water-based
Oil-based

You’ll also find “hybrid” lube which is both water- and silicone-based. “Organic” or “Natural” lube is usually water-based.
Lube is always useful to have- although the vagina is often self-lubricating, any number of reasons (including the time of the month) can cause it to need a little help. And you ALWAYS need lube for anal, the ass doesn’t self-lubricate at all. Don’t feel ashamed to need lube!

Let's talk about... drop, aka sub drop, Dom drop etc

As always: this is my opinion, yours may vary, there are no rules, and that’s the way uh huh (uh huh) I like it (uh huh).
Usually drop is referred to as “sub drop”, but it can happen to anybody participating in kink, be they sub, Dom, Top, bottom, switch, Sadist or whatever.

Drop is the feeling people often get after a scene.
It might feel like sadness, loss, emptiness - it can vary, but the common link is it's a sad feeling, not a running around, wind in your hair, hills-are-alive-with-the-sound-of-music feeling. You can think of it as the anti-subspace.

Let's talk about... Age gaps

As always: this is my opinion, yours may vary, there are no central rules in BDSM, and who let the dogs out.

This was a requested topic; if you have a suggestion for a LTA thread, submit it here:

If you haven't read my bio, I'm 46, so I'm writing this as an older guy. Yet the average age of my clients is around 20 years younger. That’s not unusual in BDSM- you’ll often see younger subs with (or looking for) older Doms, regardless of gender, so let’s take a closer look.
I’m NOT going to say “age gap bad” or “age gap good”. We’re all adults (right?😡), so this is just a “Pros and Cons” thing. On that note, I’m looking at this for kinky play partners, not a relationship.
These apply to all genders and dynamics, not just D/s or male Dom/female sub.

Today my sexy and highly intelligent #TeamDax fans get my “Behind the scenes” take on yesterday’s “Inspection” .
I’ve explained why I do what I do, what the thinking behind it is, and why it works. If you or your partner want to be a Dom, don’t miss it!

NOTE: I can’t teach you to be a Dom if you’re not naturally that way inclined. All I can do is show you how to “harness” your inner Dominant traits that you already have- if you’re naturally submissive, you’ll just be frustrated. If you’re switch, then give it a try.
So yes, a lot of my content is aimed at submissive women, but there’s stuff for everyone...
