Some personal news: I finally have a daughter who is willing to watch My So-Called Life with me.
(I bought the DVDs for the now-16-year-old a few years ago, but we've never made it past the pilot. 16 is at her mom's house tonight, and 12 and I watched the first three episodes back-to-back-to-back.)
The 12-year-old: "Did people actually dress like that?"
Me: "Your *mom* dressed like that."
