Hello and welcome to the latest of our online training session on analysing historic settlement, beginning with @DrSueOosthuizen discussing nucleated settlement. So what is that?
This is an example of nucleated settlement, Polbrook in Northamptonshire - the village at the centre of the bounds of the parish. These are typical of but not exclusive to) the 'central province' of England.
So what are the basic tools? Maps! For Britain, the 1:25,000 @OrdnanceSurvey maps, geological maps and - importantly, flood risk maps all give insight into the landscape as a three-dimensional entity.

March-4: .@LukePollard proposed a very sensible motion in response to #UKFloods, calling for an independent review into:
-Govt response
-Flood prevention/defence funding
-Insurance issues
-Lessons learned

Who could possibly vote against that?

You'd be surprised...

Dear constituents of #Telford, esp. #Ironbridge,

Your MP #LucyAllan voted against Mr Pollard's motion.

Instead she backed the watered-down version of the motion, committing to nothing very much.

If you want more than warm words, write to her.

1) You can't understand . . .

#Rotherham
#NewCastle
#Rochdale
#Telford

until you understand that this is a part of Pakistani culture. Pakistan is one giant Rotherham, except boys are the victims since females are kept from the public square.
2) Of course not everyone in an ethnic group shares the same personality, but if enough people share a personality type or trait beyond a certain threshold, it tilts the culture in that direction.
3) There are court documents from ancient Greece suggesting they had this same nonchalant attitude.

That changed.

You couldn't re-institute this cultural practice among Euros - likely because European psychology has changed over past few thousand years.
