Do you believe #markets are #cyclical in nature?
Do you think #history #rhymes, if not #repeats?
Do you agree #greed and #fear are two main forces in the market?
If answer of above Q's is yes then following tweets will solidify ur view if its a no then they will change ur view.
Above is a monthly chart of #Sensex. It goes through an alternating #greedandfear cycle of 8 years. Sensex moves up in greed phase and consolidates in fear phase. It was up 469% in greed phase of 1992. was up only 20% from 1992 to 2000. From 2000 to 2008 it was up 271%.
In fear phase of 2008 to 2016 it was up only 48%. #Sensex has entered greed phase in 2016 and will stay there till 2024. So far its up more than 50%. But the story doesnt end there. The sectors which move up during these phases also go through a cycle.

Let’s dive into #manufacturing and understand how #Pakistan has lagged its #Asian peers in #industrialization, how stagnant growth turned to a decline even #precovid and how #financing has been unable to encourage #investments in the sector… (1/n)
#Industrial value add per worker in Pakistan has seen minor improvements in the last 25 years. While it changed by 12% for Pak, it changed by 512% for #China. Unfair comparison so not even on the chart but #India has doubled its #Productivity too… (2/n) Image
What’s worse is that post 2018, manufacturing in Pakistan has been on the decline, specifically Large Scale Manufacturing which makes up the bulk. Major reasons cited are PKR #devaluation, rising #energy costs and higher #taxes... (3/n) Image

Pakistan-China Industrial Cooperation #Thread

Pak-China Industrial cooperation, compounded with the guidance of Chinese experts, will provide an excellent opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen its industrial capacity & capability.…

CPEC's potential impact on Pakistan has been compared to that of the Marshall Plan by USA in post-war Europe. Analysts predict that CPEC will result in creation of upwards of 2.3 m jobs between 2015–2030, & add 2 to 2.5 % points to the country's annual economic growth.

The future of Pakistan lies in export led growth strategy, which makes development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) vital to improve the country's capacity and to complement the export requirements.

THREAD about birb in Iranian art 🦆🦚🐓🦅🐣

~ NA @eranudturan #HistoryofIran ImageImage
You’ll notice that #ducks are REALLY common in #Sogdian art, appearing primarily in #textile (there’s also a wooden painted panel from Kucha). They almost always hold a necklace in their beaks

~ NA @eranudturan #Historyofiran ImageImageImageImage
They sometimes appear in conjunction with pheasants, who often wear a necklace around their necks.

What’s this motif all about?
