The following suggestion made by an income tax officer(shared for wide circulation)Now the time has come when an All India Union of taxpayers shd be formed which will be the biggest organization in the world.
#Thread2 No matter which Govt is ruling, without approval of this Union,no free electricity, water, free distribution or loan waivers can be announced by anyone, nor can any govt implement anything like this. Money comes frm our tax payments,so we shd hv the right to oversee its use
#Thread3
Political parties will keep luring public by distributing freebies for votes since it benefits them. Whatever schemes announced, the Govt shd first give their blueprints & take consent from the Union. This shd be applicable even to the salaries of MPs&MLAs and the other

Netflix’s Hinduphobic web series ‘Krishna and His Leela’ insults Shri Krishna n Hinduism. It has become fashion for web series/shows n Bollywood to be in competition in depicting Hindu deities in bad light. And who r d directors/producers who release such? Mostly Hindus! #Thread1
Can same producers/directors dare to broadcast hateful content pertaining to Gods of other religions? No!

Have you heard about ‘Bhaat’ also called ‘Pothi’? Many can connect to this listing of ‘Vangshavali’. This system of recording names of family members of a particular lineage/family/community - generation after generation has been continuing since antiquity. #Thread1
This is how historical lineage of many a dynasty could be traced. Me and my Maa-in-law Sudha (double postgraduate in Sanskrit/Hindi; read Vedas and sev ancient scriptures) often used to discuss about many things related to our glorious past including current affairs, #Thread2
politics, farmer issues, governments, etc.

During 1 of our interactions, Maaji narrated about ‘Bhaat’ or ‘Pothi’, about ‘Vangshavali’ of the family I am now connected via marriage. This is recorded by Brahmins entrusted by themselves into this task since generations. #Thread3

It has been rightly said history repeats itself. My post here is in context of how events have been described in mainstream narratives over decades/centuries. Since last 1000+ years, it has been the same. The perpetrators find a place, a major place in these narratives. #Thread1
That's how over years we hve read in detail abt Mahmud of Ghazni, Mohd Ghori, Qutb-uddin-Aibak, Taimur, Babur, Bakhtiyar Khilji, Akbar, Aurangzeb, Robert Clive, Lord Dalhousie; list on. They dominate narratives in history textbooks; every school child bound to read this. #Thread2
And we celebrate/relive barbarism of these invaders/looters in our daily lives not only in books but also in streets. So we have Akbar Road. We have Bakhtiyarpur Junction in name destroyer of our ancient universities. We have roads in name of traitors - Mann Singh Road. #Thread3

'Your Story' featured Avantika Khanna, 17-year-old who developed 'India Story app' that highlights past of India. App describes, it was the role of 'rulers of the SULTANATE, the MUGHALS, the BRITISH and all those that have left an indelible mark in its history.' #Thread1
No mention of India's past of great dynasties like Cholas, Cheras, Mauryas, Vijayanagara kings, Ganga, Palas, Ahoms, Mewari Rajputs (forts/temples built by them r evidences) or archaeological sites that tell antiquity of Bharat dating back to 1000s of yrs in description #Thread2
Mention of only looters/plunderers! Neither Avantika nor other people involved with the app r to be blamed. Fault in history textbooks. When we are fed only a 1-sided/distorted historical narrative n when we are taught only about invaders, looters, plunderers, we will #Thread3

Attached is painting of a 3-mast sail ship on wall of Ajanta Cave No 2. While researchers dated this painting 2 around 1700 years back, it is actually much older if we take into account real chronological history of India. What is the antiquity of naval history of India? #Thread1
The history of Indian maritime dates back to 1000s of years, as early as pre-Rigveda period. The Rigveda finds mention of Varun, the God of water and the celestial ocean, as having knowledge of sea routes. Sanskrit terminologies like Navadhyaksha, Nava Dvipantaragamanam, #Thread2

How old is our civilization? While historians give diverse views with many not going beyond 5000 years of evidenced history, what do the following evidences prove? 19000 years? 35000 years? 75000 years? Or beyond this? #Thread1
Irony that West and even Wikipedia shows 1500 BCE as start of Vedic era! And they don’t consider Ramayana and Mahabharata events as History!

Going by a mix of literary, epigraphical, inscriptional, astronomical calculations from the scriptures and epics... #Thread2
....we have recorded history dating back to at least 15000-19000 years. And archaeological evidences with carbon dated artefacts prove this to beyond 75000 years. Let’s delve in gist on the archaeo evidences: #Thread3

Demographics of Assam with a Historical Background

Kamrupa (ancient name of Assam) was the place where Mahadev burnt Kamdev to ashes for interrupting his meditation. This was also the place where battle between Kamrupa king Narakasura and Krishna took place. #Thread1
Kamrupa king Banasur’s daughter Usha was married to Krishna’s grandson Anniruddha.

When did Muslim settlements in Assam really begin? It was the year 1206 when Bakhtiyar Khilji attaked Assam with a huge army. He was badly defeated by the ruler of Assam Raja Prithu. #Thread2
Bakhtiyar Khilji fled Assam with only few surviving soldiers. Few of Khilji’s soldiers were taken prisoners of war. Raja Prithu pardoned them when they sought pardon. He also allowed them to stay when they sought shelter. #Thread3

I am from Assam. Things have taken a different turn with CAB. Why is Assam protesting?

Assam has been bearing the brunt of Bangladeshi immigrants from 1951 or to be precise even before that. The key facilitator being Assam sharing 263 km of border with Bangladesh. #Thread1
An unusual rise in voters was witnessed in 1979 in Mangaldoi Lok Sabha bypoll. This was because illegal Bangladeshi immigrants filled up space; were given voting rights. This led to massive agitation by Assamese for 6+ yrs leading to death of 885 people, mostly students. #Thread2
Agitation stopped after Assam Accord was signed in 1985. As per Assam Accord, date of detection/deportation of foreigners fixed at March 25 1971. It was 1951 for other states.

Bangladeshi language rules the roost in most of the regions of Assam now instead of Assamese. #Thread3
