This Black Friday, ask #VornadoRealty⁩+others to pay Toys R Us employees the severance they were promised.

#ToysRUs workers in NY-14 &across the country worked for decades w/ that promise.

Once private equity took over, they fired 38,000 workers w/ no pay. We can fight back.
Thank you to the incredible organizers at @riseupretail and the courageous Bronx residents who came together to tell the world what’s happening to retail workers across the United States.
This fight has already started to gain momentum, from $0 in severance to a $20 million concession.

But that’s nowhere near what these 30,000+ Toys R Us workers are due.

People are skipping medicines and losing housing stability. They are owed an additional $55 million.

Tonight at dinner I told my kids (ages 3, 6, 8) the news about #ToysRUs closing stores. They were apoplectic, and began coming up with ideas on how to save the toy chain. Here they are:
2/ Remove all the aisles and aisles, and create a fun play zone — “like Legoland Discovery Center, but better toys!”
3/ Create a track around outside of store where you can ride bicycles, scooters and battery-operated cars
