For those unaware there is a #TransRightsProtest going on in London right now, so I thought I'd try to explain a little bit of the current state of being trans in the UK for those on my TL who may be unaware

In general there is a lot of hostility in the UK against trans folk; in trans spaces we actually refer to the UK as TERF island because of this.

As it stands today, trans healthcare on the NHS is not a thing. Trans healthcare typically refers to hormone treatment (HRT) or surgeries needed for someone to be comfortable in their own body in order to do this on the NHS you need a referral to a Gender Identity Clinic (GIC)
