We've been exploring the new #T2T human genome assembly compared to previous versions (our news and views article is out today, link below). Some observations:
(1) Its pretty amazing what the human genome project was able to do in 2004: large-scale gene order is totally conserved

(2) Some of the chromosomes are nearly identical between the 2013 GRCh38 assembly and T2T. For example, here is a zoom in on Chr10 - just a few gaps in the pericentromere that were filled in with tandem repeats in T2T.

(3) But other chromosomes have been dramatically improved. For example, here are Chr9 and acrocentric Chr14.

@Europarl_EN repeated its concerns and intentions, but did not give in to the objections and counter examples of the #crytpo proponents (and bystanders such as @SofwareAG).

Yesterday’s dastardly killing of BDC Chairman Khag #Budgam Bhupinder Singh comes in the wake of multiple such cowardly attacks carried out in the last few months. 8 political workers have been murdered in the last 3 months.

On June 8, Ajay Pandita, the sarpanch of the Lukhbhawan area, #Anantnag south #Kashmir, was shot dead by #terrorists. As a Sarpanch, Pandita had always worked hard for his village & its people.

TRF & #AFF originated as an online Terror organization from GHQ Rawalpindi in October 2019 once it became clear that #Pakistan wasn’t going to be taken out of the Grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) – the Anti-Terror financing watchdog – anytime soon. 2/8

It was circulating Jihadi Literature, in classic #Pakistan military propaganda language, on #Kashmir. Along with TRF other AFF organisations like Joint Kashmir Front, Jammu #Kashmir Ghaznavi Force suddenly mushroomed overnight. 3/8
