This amazing act of generosity is fake news, as @KathradaFound explains. South Africa had paid @AstraZeneca (twice the cost of the vaccine in Europe) & the latter got Serum Institute to ship it. The Indian govt had made no "sacrifice", in fact had no role to play at all...
