1. Pomo oli tuohtuneessa mielentilassa. Hän melkein huusi Pipariselle, että mitään ihmistulkkeja ei missään tapauksessa saa näissä bisnesneuvotteluissa käyttää.
2. Kaikki Piparisen yritykset muistutella Pomoa siitä, ettei tätä ollut pätkääkään kiinnostanut, miten asia hoidetaan, kaikuivat kuuroille korville. Tilanne oli nimittäin muuttunut.
1. Sanna-Kaisan koti ei näyttänyt epookkisarjan sivistyskodilta, niin kuin Piparinen oli ennakkoon kuvitellut. Olihan Sanna-Kaisalla toki suuri hylly täynnä laatukirjoja, sen verran Piparinenkin osasi hyllyä arvioida.
2. Hän tiesi ja ymmärsi, että hyvä kirjallisuus oli aina arvossaan eikä paperikirja olisi vieläkään tekemässä kuolemaa.

In 1960 my parents bought a box of Shiny Brite satellite-shaped ornaments. They have been my favorite ornaments my entire life.
This year Mike picked one up and asked about it. I told him the whole story. He promptly broke it.

He felt TERRIBLE and I kept telling him it was OK. They ae fragile. I told him the story of my friend Carol (whose mom turns 100 Jan 7! Want to send her a card?) whose giant German Shepherd took out a tree of 100 year old + Victorian ornaments.
