Just saw the UNESCO Heritage sites in India, and the tentative list on Wiki. Some amazing places on the tentative lists but here is a list of places i think should have been on our UNESCO list
The Tirupati Sri Venkateswara Temple in Andhra. Hinduism's most visited site , the gold coated Vimana, the Vijayanagara architecture and the amazing folklore deserves it a place there 
The Gomateshwara Monolithic statue located in Sravanabelagola, Karnataka. The 9th century Jain statue on the Chandragiri hills is one of the world's largest free standing statues. Should be on that list!
