Het is begonnen!!! De eruptie van de Mauna Loa op Hawaii, de grootste actieve vulkaan op deze planeet, die zich al maanden geleden aankondigde met ondergronds gerommel. Vorige eruptie was in 1984, dus we gaan aardig wat vuurwerk zien.

De Mauna Loa begon om 23.30 uur local time uit te barsten, dat is 83 minuten geleden. De eruptie is momenteel beperkt tot de top en het magma bedreigt volgens @USGSVolcanoes op dit moment nog geen lokale gemeenschappen. Maar dat kan snel veranderen. Denk #LaPalma
