Yared Wonde, president of the Dallas postal workers union, tells us the sorting machines were in working condition at the time of their removal in July and that workers have “been told not to put it back in operation.” He says they will likely be sold for scrap metal.
At Monday’s #USPSHearing, Rep. @DWStweets asked DeJoy if he would authorize postal plant managers to turn sorting machines back on if local officials deemed it necessary.

At 10 am this morning, the House Oversight and Reform Committee will be questioning USPS Postmaster General DeJoy. You know what to look for today. Who is asking questions to get to the truth, who is working to undermine delivery of voting ballots telling us everything is ok?

Louis DeJoy has been the Post Master General for 67 days. He shouldn’t be PMG for another 67 seconds. He has already admitted to being unaware of at least 2 processes within the postal service. Those processes had to do with removal of blue collection boxes.
DeJoy is a talker. This format of hearing where he doesn’t get cues the time of the Senator is up is going to cause him to say things he probably shouldn’t. Especially as he tires. This should be instructive as the House prepares for next week. Sure @RepKatiePorter is watching.
