Doctors in Bolivia are injecting people with bleach to prevent and treat COVID, and combat the “toxic effects” of vaccines. The country’s government legalized the production and sale of chlorine dioxide last year as an alternative treatment for COVID. bit.ly/3DpX86R
Grover López spent 12 hrs connected to a chlorine dioxide IV to “eliminate the metals” from the COVID vaccine his doctor told him were wreaking havoc on his body. López said he was sweating out a “metallic” scent, which made him optimistic it was working. bit.ly/3DpX86R
The FDA (and health orgs worldwide) warn that drinking bleach can cause fatal respiratory failure, heart arrhythmia, and life-threatening conditions. But the use of bleach to treat COVID has gained legitimacy across Latin America, especially in Bolivia. bit.ly/3DpX86R

Who was Breonna Taylor? I had the honor of asking her sister, Juniyah, who is one of the most impressive 20-year-olds I have ever met.

My whole team is still thinking about the interview. Can’t wait to share the first part of it tonight at 11pm on #VICENewsTonight Image
Infinitely grateful to Juniyah for trusting us with her and her sister’s story. I will never understand her pain
I’m also lucky to work with a team as smart, talented, and compassionate as the one that made this happen: @jceballosv, @NicoleBozorgmir, @RialdaZukic, Ben Bishop, Jeb Banegas, @ScottMulligan12

Two families who arrived in Hong Kong from South Africa are being quarantined in govt camps just heard that the ruling for their case is being deferred for the second time, to Wednesday. They tell me both deferrals were made because the government came unprepared. #covid19
The South African families arrived hours after I did on Thursday. After testing negative, I was able to come home. They, on the other hand, were taken to a government quarantine camp, where they say conditions are filthy.
Arrivals from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and South Africa are not allowed to quarantine at home. The govt says that arrivals from those countries are at higher risk of being infected. But the extra measures don't apply to arrivals from the top 10 most-affected countries.

This is how 8chan was born — and became the worst place on the Internet.

8chan is now known as the website where mass killers in New Zealand and El Paso shared their racist ideologies, but it didn't start that way.

It began as a haven for free speech — or at least that's what its founder believed it to be. bit.ly/2UzVmuG
Fredrick Brennan created 8chan in 2013, when he was 19. It was a lot like 4chan, another imageboard created by another teenager 10 years earlier, but it allowed users even more freedom. bit.ly/2UzVmuG

THREAD: When we interviewed the Higher Brothers (the Chinese rappers here) for @VICENews 2 yrs ago, they said they were once called down to the police station for uploading a “political” song to Weibo. (That part didn’t make it into the final cut: ) 1/n
The song had mentioned corrupt Chinese politicians, they told @dexdigi. “They put my lyrics up on a blackboard, and said "this is political”. And they told me not to write this kind of song in the future. Otherwise, they would lock me up.” 2/n
“Then they asked me to delete the song. I did what they said. And I will never write this kind of song again. But you can still hear it on YouTube! ... So we know it's dangerous. We don't touch it anymore. We're responsible.” - Higher Brothers to @VICENews in 2017 3/n
