Looking forward to teaching some vulnerable women tomorrow some techniques to reset the vagus nerve.
Command over our own bodies.
Tools to manage our own experiences to calm our nervous systems.
Gaining mastery within ourselves fosters empowerment.
Lots of interest in the techniques I taught. Just a handful I've encountered in my reading. Diaphragmatic breathing for optimally 20 minutes. Bear hugging self & others for at least 30 seconds. Breathing in through teeth & exhaling through nose 3 - 5 times to cool head. Humming.
All of these techniques can be practiced without others, props or a lot of training necessary. Important for populations with limited access to resources. Anyone have others they use they'd like to share? I'm still in learning mode re conscious vagus nerve engagement. #VagusReset
