Helena Pawluk née Błeszyńska worked for the Central Welfare Council – a charity that during WWII helped the prisoners of #Majdanek. When she learned that her family’s doctor & friend – a Polish Jew named Pryłucki – was detained in the camp, she helped him escape. #WomenofMajdanek Image
