Trip from Belair to Adelaide, Jan 2019.
Was double 5' 3' but one line was converted to standard gauge in 1995.

Standard gauge line on the left. Used by freight and The Overland.
Shortly after leaving Belair. Down hill grade apparent.
I think this was Pinera. Disused platform now on the standard gauge.

Opening of the new section Caboolture to Beerburrum 14th April 2009 northern line - high speed double track replaces the speed limited single line.
One of the first trains heading north over the new section was the Q150 Steam Train.
Bus we travelled on from Elimbah to Beerburrum. Trains not running at this time. Rail services commenced around 9.30am.
The new Beerburrum station. It was here we waited for the commencement of the rail services.

Join my Grandfather P G Dow who took a photographic record of the last train from Crowes to Beech Forest on the 9/12/1954. Travelled from Colac to Crowes on the 8th. Stayed overnight in the NC Van & to Beech Forest in the morning.

Return ticket for my Grandfather and Uncle.
All aboard! The last train from Crowes is about to depart. G41 and two NC Vans. Goods will be picked up on the run to Beech Forest.

Join me for a run from Grange to the junction at Woodville, Adelaide.
Single line branch, that at one point passes through an active golf course!

9 March 1986, the current Grange station, on the eastern side of Military Road replaced the original station on the western side. The station was relocated to prevent traffic flow along Military Road from being interrupted by the arrival of trains.
