5:30 AM - I predict an election will be held today.

Good luck, stay safe, #voteliberal.
About to leave the house and I just realized that more about how I see the world has changed in the last 30 days than during any other similar time period in my life. Mostly, I no longer have any fond affinity towards the NDP. They’re not the way to a better future.
Familiarity breeds contempt very quickly in our world of social media and 24-7 comms. Captured, corporate, editorially biased media illustrated this contempt by unnaturally decoupling Trudeau’s failings from his many important successes.

With Justin Trudeau,
thousands of people crossed the border illegally,
This system is unfair to the families who follow
the rules and waiting for their turn.

I propose a welcoming country, but respecting its borders.
All immigrants can install in Quebec,
Canada, to work, to study, or to found a family.

But legally and respectful of the laws of the country they want to integrate. Final point!

To protect our borders and end the illegal crossings,
A Conservative government will apply the Safe Third Country Agreement.
Then, in terms of the reunification of families and the integration of immigrants, a Conservative government will work with Quebec to give it more power and autonomy in immigration.

In concrete terms, we will give Quebec more powers to choose who comes to settle here.

I watched the pandemic unfold since Jan 2019. My wife & I wore masks before it was the thing to do. We washed our hands & used sanitizer all day long. We washed our groceries, & avoided family & friends. The first thing the gov did for us was increased our GST
With that we were able to stock up. We were very grateful for that help. Both seniors with disabilities. I was worried about my wife, my children & grandchildren living in 3 different provinces. I'm not a religious man but I prayed everyday, not for me but for the world
I watched our frontline workers put their lives on the line everyday & die because of it. Again I prayed for a miracle. I watched the horrible job Donald Trump was doing handling the pandemic & was happy when the Prime Minister closed the border.
I listened to the daily reports

A friend of mine just dropped by with some paperwork I need to sign. Big, brand new, Buick SUV with an “end poverty” sticker on the back window. So naturally I asked how he was feeling about the election and he launched into a diatribe about Liberals and Trudeau.
How he was “voting NDP” because it was time to teach those arrogant Liberal bastards a lesson they’d remember in their bones.

I asked how he felt about a conservative government and he shrugged.
“Sometimes you have to knock over the chessboard.”

“It’s the most progressive implementable platform ever tabled in this country.”

“Yeah, well it’s too little, too late.”

@SusanDelacourt makes some good points, But lets be clear, it's way past time we talked about this.
The media barely covered the 'Friendly Sausage Maker' who broke into Rideau Hall. He's now a footnote in the hate business column. 1/

The day before Canada Day 2020, Erin O'Toole released this mocking video of the Prime Minister.
Priming the troops for the Canada Day protest ? 2/ #cdnpoli
On Canada 2020 day we saw a protest on Parliament Hill and O'Toole tweeted about 'cancel culture' and the Maple Leaf flag. 3/

One of the misinformation pieces that Singh and the NDP are touting is that the Liberals voted against Universal Pharmacare. The facts ate that in 2018, the Liberals created a National Advisory Council for pharmacare and in 2019 they added funds into thwir budget to start the
The NDP tabled a bill for pharmacare and the Liberals and Cons voted against it. Why? Because it demanded pharmacare be implemented immediately as a stunt which is now being used as an election talking point disingenously.
