⁉️WHAT⁉️

Thanks to @RandPaul, Russian🇷🇺media is outing the #Ukrainegate whistleblower. Standing next to Trump, he ordered the media to unmask the #whistleblower. In a redux of “#Russia, if you’re listening”—Kremlin-run media jumped on it.

#Russian🇷🇺media figures *quote @FOXNews, Glenn Beck, and The Federalist* to argue that an #impeachment case against @realDonaldTrump will ultimately turn into a case against our ally, #Ukraine.

#Russia is AT WAR with Ukraine, and yet, Trump and the RW media are helping RUSSIA🤬
Prominent #Russian🇷🇺state TV media personality: “They say Trump is making #Russia🇷🇺great. That’s basically accurate. The chaos brought by Trump...is weakening the US...that’s why we love him...The more problems they have, the better it is for us.”🤬

Three factors that will determine this election;
1. Voter suppression. There must be far more emphasis and money dedicated to fight for voting rights this cycle. #VoteBlue
2. Turnout. Directly affected by 1. Anything that depresses turnout including massive changes in healthcare, jobs status, immigration will energize the right wing, and/or suppress the moderate groups needed in swing states.
#VoteBlue
3. Convincing white voters on the right AND the left that their economic status, healthcare, and national security are more important to their lives than their perceived privileged status for being white. That’s the vein Trump taps (con’d)

Student voter turnout in the 2018 Midterms was 40.3% of 10 million students tracked (Tufts), more than TWICE the rate of 2014. And in response, GOP politicians are throwing up roadblocks between students & voting booths. #Payattetion #ThursdayThoughts nytimes.com/2019/10/24/us/…

So Democrats have not been running ads about this scandal or #impeachment. So let's help them out. Let's make a series of ads & retweet the he!! out of them. Let's share them on every platform & even email them to our LOW INFORMATION family members, lol! Share yours here!
I have been a proponent for #impeachment since day 1 of Trump's term, but now we have him dead to rights! Trump is under Putin's thumb. Trump asks for help from Ukraine & tells them to make a deal with Putin who is literally invaded Ukraine & killing thousands of Ukrainians.
Are you a part of the #ImpeachmentTaskForce? Help spread the message of how vital it is to stand up for the rule of law!Learn the facts & develop talking points. Look to influence low information voters. You can't make an impact on hardcore MAGA types but YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT!

1/ A lot of people rightfully complain that far too many Congresspeople are in Congress for decades, and such a thing should never happen. It's actually antithetical to the the vision the founders had for our country.
2/ But it just dawned on me that the people who seem to be most vocal about people being in Congress for far too long are generally Republicans. So, on a hunch, I did a quick Google search to find the seniority of current Reps & Sens. Here's the House:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seniority…
3/ Here's the list of Senate Seniority: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seniority…

Notice any patterns in the two lists? 3 of the 5 most senior Reps and 4 of the 5 most senior Sens are Republicans. 50% of the top 10 in both houses are Republicans. 50% of the top 20 in the Senate are GOP.

1/ #MoscowMitch and the GOP said today that they intent to wait to act on the gun violence epidemic until Trump tells them what he will sign. McConnell specifically suggested today that the only way to make a law is for the president to sign it.
2/ THIS IS FALSE.
Article One, Clause Two of the Constitution reads, in part, as follows: "Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he . . .
3/ . . . shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall . . .

Can Texas turn blue in 2020? The writer thinks so and so do I.

Ted Cruz won his last election, but saw a 13 point margin drop from his first election to 2018. That's a 13 point pro-Democratic shift. Other seats flipped. #SundayThoughts #TurnTexasBlue 1/7

Support and volunteer for @mjhegar - an amazing Democratic candidate running to replace John Cornyn in the U.S. Senate.

To paraphrase, "Texans deserve a Senator who represents their values: strength, courage, independence."
That's not Cornyn. #txlege 3/7

HERE WE GO AGAIN🤦🏽‍♂️With #RacistInChief, #RacistTrump & #RacistGOP all still trending, MAGAts are dragging out the tired old "Democrats are the party of slavery and Republicans freed them" line. They do it every time.

Here's why it doesn't work👇 [THREAD]
Go to any "racial" topic that trended over the last few weeks; Sweden, Reparations, Barack Obama Blvd, Nathan Bedford Forrest, Dinesh, etc, and scroll through the tweets and you'll find dozens & dozens, maybe even hundreds with a variation of 'DEMs are the party of slavery!' 2/
Those using the 'DEMs are the party of slavery/Republicans freed them' rationale to *remind* black Americans why they should be loyal to the GOP are either too ignorant to understand how the ideology of the two parties has evolved, or, they assume that black Americans are. 3/

Last Friday night as the world was lighting candles, I lit one too and put it in my yard. While doing so, I was encouraged to see that there were a few other candles in a dominantly Trump neighborhood where I had expected to see NO CANDLES and have NO support.
I assumed that the neighbor, Pete, a Trump would harass and ridicule me again for my little candle. I was prepared for that and more likely than not for the disappearance of my candle.
Since before Trump took office Pete and I have gone round and round. Signs have disappeared from my yard and I have been unable to step outside without some version of Trump rhetoric being spewed out for all to hear.

Trump's show, "Chaos," is pretty simple. The producers draw from only a couple buckets, over and over.

Bucket 1: Undermine rule of law and government as we know it. Use the courts. Stack the courts. Dismantle programs. Install foxes.

#VoteBlue

-1/4
Bucket 2: Predation & greed.
DeVos, Acosta, Mnuchin, Sessions, Kavanaugh, Barr, Price, Carson, Pruitt are just a few of the foxes appointed as department heads for departments they should protect, but will undermine and dismantle. Acosta is only the most recent blatant example.
As soon as the spotlight starts revealing what's happening, they draw from

Bucket 3: Fear which includes terrorizing the vulnerable, attacking Democrats or calling on nationalistic/xenophobic definitions of "patriotism" & "christianity."

People are objects & caring is weak.

With Republicans refusing to protect our vote and with elections getting closer every day, we must add actions to our routines to protect Americans' votes from gerrymandering, suppression, and interference.

Help put Spread the Vote put voter IDs in the hands of people who need them.
-21M eligible voters in the US do not have needed ID.
-About half of eligible voters didn't cast a ballot in the 2018 midterms.

Does your state have Automatic Voter Registration (AVR)?

Look yours up. AVR allows registering while applying for or updating a driver's license while at the DMV. 33% of voter registration applications came through a DMV in the 2016 election cycle. 3/9

THREAD:

Trump on January 20, 2017, said, "Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for years to come."

What followed that has been two years of Trump's lies to the American people and his failure to hear their voices raised in protest.
After a campaign full of lies and empty promises to the American people, Trump began an unrelenting attack on our constitution and our established laws. He claimed he would be "transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People."
Yet the voice of the America MAJORITY has called out repeatedly the actions Trump has taken since he entered the office. The day after he took office millions of American women and men poured into the streets in protest.

Liar.

The New York Times has compiled a list of the 84 environmental rules on their way out during your nightmare presidency.
Here are the ones that have been completed so far:
"1. Canceled a requirement for oil and gas companies to report methane emissions. (EPA)"
#LiarInChief
"2. Revised and partially repealed an Obama-era rule limiting methane emissions on public lands, including intentional venting and flaring from drilling operations.
(Interior Department)"
#ClimateChangeIsReal #ThursdayThoughts
"3. Loosened a Clinton-era rule designed to limit toxic emissions from major industrial polluters. (EPA)"

Trump sure succeeded in changing the narrative from his perceived 'victory' with the Mueller rpt to gutting America's healthcare yest-if it's done by the courts, Trump'll be handing the Sen to Dems in 2020- Interesting. #WednesdayWisdom
