Only 1 in 5 people voted yes, and almost 2/3 said no.
Or to look at it another way, there was a 3:1 ratio of those not thinking there will be stock to those who did.

I found this result interesting as GW's last 3 summer launch boxes did not experience stock scarcity.
Age of Darkness, AoS Dominion and 40K Indomitus (while it had a wobbly start, availability was ultimately not an issue).

A combat shield is shown, the first time a generic heresy kit will feature this gear.

Returning after a pause since 2019, Games Workshop's signature event has returned and I went along as a non-gaming, non Golden Demon entrant.

Impressions on arrival: upon entering the venue, I was confronted by a massively busy hall with few visual clues as to what is happening where.
No programme or event goodie bag was provided. I found this disappointing given the high ticket price and previous Fest offerings.

(2/7)Build and play first before painting. HH was a new system for me. Before I am sure the loadout fits my play style, I assemble my units with blue tack… so I get a chance to switch them.
(3/7)Test the color scheme with bits! I tested about 3 color combination of green and brown base to find the best one. You may not find the box art most attractive to you, so test a variety of color is a good idea before you batch painting them.

#warmongers tip: we all know white expanded polystyrene packing can be used for cool scifi terrain, however here are some tips to make it look even better.
1. Modge podge some printer paper strips onto surfaces- this strengthens it and protects against dents.

I customised it with the optional glass shelves so I could get more rows in than (weirdly) their display cases.

I may put in some LED light strips, but they can be kind of strong and high contrast for so close.
Its a shame the middle shelf had to stay in for stability, it would have been nice to have that as glass too.

The arguments against diversity seem to boil down to “the lore doesn’t support it”. Unfortunately this fundamentally fails when you accept that lore is fluff to make toy soldiers more interesting to play with. It not set in stone, it’s regularly changed.

Steps 2 - 5. Build up some land. I’ve used texture paint and bits of slate. I like my Deepkin to look like they are coming from the sea, not going towards it, so I tend to place the land towards the front of the base. Base it grey, nuln the hell out of it, then drybrush to taste.
