Amid the #pandemic in June 2020, #Wipro appointed former Capgemini COO @TDelaporte as its CEO with a mandate to “transform and take tough decisions.” The 56-year-old has driven Wipro's aggressive acquisition spree, buying a dozen companies for over $2.3 billion in last 3 years.

In an exclusive interview with ET’s @Sai__ET, @Romita__ET and @SurabhiA_ET, Delaporte said the company is taking bold bets and decisions in order to “transform.”

Here are some edited excerpts 👇

On Wipro's growth: We’ve grown 45% in the last two and a half years and if we can do that, always (we) will be in a good place. Believe me. I think I'm very comfortable with the growth we've driven over the years. I stay focused on our plan and on the execution.

1) We applied for WIPRO Around September 2021 then Appeared for Assesment & interview in Sept - OCT 2021. (2/10)

2) In Nov. 2021 we Recieved Selection Mail and then in Jan 2022 we got Offer Letter.
3) Around Feb 2022 we got Selected for a 3 month UNPAID Internship+ Training Program called "Velocity".
We were promised that our package will be Upgraded to 6.5 LPA.

IT services major #Wipro today reported a 12% decline in its #profits to ₹2,717 crore in the first quarter, as against ₹3,087 crore in the previous quarter.

The IT company’s revenues grew 3% sequentially to ₹22,001 crore in the same period, in line with analyst expectations.

Offering guidance for the September quarter, #Wipro said it expects IT services business revenue to be in the range of $2.82-2.87 billion, which translates to a sequential 3-5% growth.

However, Wipro CEO and MD Thierry Delaporte said the company is “pleased with the outcomes”.

WIPRO stated that for FY23, it expects to grow in double digits and margins for the medium term is expected to hold in the 17-17.5% band. However, for the next 2-3 quarters, WIPRO expects to see slightly lower margins.

Q&A Insights: Kumar Rakesh from @BNPParibas asked about the operations of Rizing. Rajan Kohli MP said that Rizing will operate under Application and Data business, adjacent to SAP business. The idea is to drive synergies between Rizing and Wipro’s SAP business and go to market.

Short sellers were trapped by RBI,preventing any hardening of yield curve

Fact that economy is on track, endorsed by solid Q4 results from #HDFCBank,with Profit up 18% at Rs 8186Cr&NII up 12% YoY,at 17120Cr

Advances up 14%;Wholesale Loans up 22%

NIM came at a good 4.2%
