Black Panther has so many iconic scenes, I often forget how good the South Korea fight is (it comes so early in the movie!). Not only do they all look good and throw down amazingly to an awesome soundtrack - the colors here are Pan-African insider.com/black-panther-… #WakandaForever Image

The story I read is that Sterling's character N'Jobu was planning to break out of prison his wife, Erik's mother, who was being held as a political prisoner. #WakandaForever
Notice the details this time. The Public Enemy posters on the wall, for example. We will see Huey Newton image in the rattan chair later. Those are thanks to Hannah Beachler, @chinchilla1970, the production designer, who won an Oscar for her work in this film. #WakandaForever

O legado de Chadwick é justamente esse. Dar esperança à uma juventude negra que desde seu nascimento sofre com o racismo estrutural

Okay so I'm watching #AvengersEndgame for the first time and I've already had to pause cause my anxiety is through the roof.

Where is his baby girl? She just went to get the arrow.
Oh my gosh. Where's the kid? That would break me.
Should I have watched that other Avengers film first?

In seeing all of the heartfelt tributes to Chadwick Boseman, I have of course been struck by how much his career, and in particular his portrayal of the Black Panther, meant to so many Black Americans. And rightfully so. (1/5)
It’s a smaller part of the story, but I think it’s worth mentioning that it was also important for white Americans to see his portrayal of King T’Challa. My family saw Black Panther in theaters twice, and my kids revered him as a Black superhero. That was good for them too. (2/5)
And I can’t help but think that there were millions of white adult Americans who were benefited by witnessing that same performance. (3/5)

I have had enough of 2020. I feel like I am stuck in some terrible intellectual purgatory. I don’t know what to say, what fight to have, what argument to make, or to whom to make that argument. I live among white people whom I love—white people who are well-read and
freedom-loving. White people who have not read Frederick Douglass’s slave narrative. White people who saw every Marvel movie that has come out since 2008, but skipped Black Panther because— well, because… I don’t know why they didn’t see that one. But if I were to speculate,

I’ve been sitting with the death of Chadwick Boseman overnight. I didn’t want to say anything exploitative.

I just think his role in helping to build a culture of strength for young Black kids through his craft, from Jackie Robinson to T’Challa, can’t be overstated.
Superheroes are an important part of our culture. They provide the ultimate “what-if” to our dreams as both kids and adults.
However, our culture is a culture driven by Black culture, pioneered and blazed by Black culture, but exploited and sold by white capitalists and colonists. His portrayal of T’Challa was no different in that it was the white heads of Disney that made the most from his work. BUT..

There are few things black people agree on universally.

I have black friends who don’t and will never believe in God or heaven or hell.

But we ALL unanimously believe that there is a Wakanda. And the person who made us ALL believe in its possibilities has left us.
Weighing this loss is nothing short of a cultural mourning. Our experiences in this world were highlighted brilliantly by this brothers art. I watched Da Five Bloods and watched my fathers war experience come back alive.

That’s who Chadwick was. He gave us pain, brilliance and
Black excellence. On repeat and in overflow and in excess and on purpose and I for one couldn’t get enough.

He embodied Black Boy Joy. A joy that we all know too often gets stamped out by society and by circumstance.

He illuminated light and so the world feels darker today.

What is colon or rectum cancer?

Cancer can start any place in the body. Cancer that starts in the colon or rectum is called colorectal cancer. It starts when cells in the colon or rectum grow out of control. This makes it hard for the body to work the way it should. @drpenking Image

Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer at 43.

I am sad that this talented brother lost his earthly life to this disease at such a young age.

Most of us don't know the details of the screening, diagnosis, and treatment journey he endured.

What I do know is that according to the @AmericanCancer, colon cancer screening is recommended starting at age 45.

I also know that Black people suffer disproportionate health inequities related to colon cancer compared to other races/ethnicities.
3/
We suffer these inequities not just because "we don't screen as much," but due to issues with access to care, insurance, public health outreach, and provider bias.

The same factors that drive racial health inequities from #COVID19, #HIV, and numerous other health conditions.

• What Is Cancer?
A little introduction.

- The body is made up of cells that constantly divide but the human body has a way of telling the cells to stop dividing when it's enough.

- In cancer, the body losses that will and the cells just keeps dividing without control. Image
"Cancer is a disease that is caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body"

- Cancer can attack any part of the body and when it does, the cancer is named after that part of the body.

Example: Breast cancer, Cancer of prostrate, "Colorectal Cancer"
