I’ll do a thread on the undecided #WentworthVotes audience questions at the @spenderallegra v @DaveSharma debate.

1. Alllegra, who would you vote for in a hung Parliament? And what about the cost of living?
2. Allegra: I’m open to work with whoever forms Govt. If a hung Parliament it depends what is on the table by both. Whever wins I will work across Parliament for action on climate change, integrity etc.
3. What will you do about the pensioner deeming rate re nursing homes?

Moderator question: Deves?

Sharma: Her comments ā€œreprehensibleā€. No comment on disendorsement. Admits our laws already allow exclusion of trans women from competitive women’s sport!

2. I met Wendy as a university student when I was Quentin Bryce’s children-sitter. Quentin was Qld’s Rep on Malcolm Fraser’s National Women’s Advisory Council and Wendy rep’d NSW. Dame Beryl Beaurepaire chaired the Council.

Excellent backstory to the PM’s startling change of legislative policy on gay students by @LisaVisentin.

I’d add the PM’s pledge during the #WentworthVotes by election in Oct 2018 to URGENTLY ban private schools expelling students for being gay.
2. And here’s the blow-back to the PM’s startling apparent change of heart, reversing his veto on banning private schools expelling gay students in his Religious Discrim Bill.

3. During the #WentworthVotes by election Morrison first backed the right private schools to sack gay students then said he didn’t like it then pledged to repeal the law allowing it urgently. By @Paul_Karp

731. Extraordinary stuff from Frydenberg, triumphalist Back in Black back boaster before last #ausvotes. SURELY with a record breaking deficit and covid widening income inequality the sane thing to do is delay or abolish the stage 3 tax cuts. Nope - let’s cut tax more!
732. B McKenzie demands the Clean Energy Finance Corporation finance carbon capture & storage research (a fantasy) to sustain coal mining. The mining industry hasn’t done it because it can’t be done. This is AWFUL, & she confirms there’s STILL no bloody plan!
#IndependentsDay!
733. The fix is in. If carbon capture and storage was viable big fossil fuel companies would have found a way by now. Yet to pretend to act on climate change the Govt INCREASES taxpayer already massive subsidies to the fossil fuel industry.

Huh? I deliberately did NOT Retweet the @AngusTaylorMP allegation thread because the allegations were unsourced. What’s going on, Angus?
2. Here’s the full letter from @AngusTaylorMP lawyers sent to @NoFibs which falsely claimed I tweeted a thread on allegations against him.
3. Wondering if a lawyer Tweep would agree to act for me pro bono to sort out this mess? I believe I did not Tweet or RT the thread in question.
