3. It’s laughable in retrospect that people fell for Trump’s promises that he would help the middle and working class. Trump has always sought wealth and power, and the #GOPTaxScam was a dream come true for him, his friends and his family.
So... let’s get this straight. After advocating for a “big beautiful” concrete wall between the U.S and Mexico 🇲🇽 AND that Mexico would PAY FOR IT, @realDonaldTrump (aided by a complicit @senatemajldr) shuts the government down. #WhereAreThePesos (1)
Why is Trump insisting on his boondoggle of a wall? His “wall” initially was a campaign device to help him remember to speak about immigration on the campaign trail. His rallies were filled with chants of “build the wall” and “Mexico will pay for it”. #WhereAreThePesos (2)
So @realDonaldTrump is willing to disrupt the lives of 800,000 Federal employees (including the Coast Guard, @FBI, TSA, and Air Traffic Control) for a bogus ineffective wall that was a campaign prop. He’s even willing to declare a “National Emergency” to skirt funding. Why? (3)
