What was not revealed by the gov't or diaspora-based news outlets is:

🔔 New Campaign Alert!

#WhereAreThey?

Goal: #WhereAreThey is a campaign that aims to keep loved ones imprisoned for years in the memories of every concerned citizen so that their memories can stay alive until they get justice. #Eritrea

#Yiakl #Kifaya #Eritrea2020 Image
#WhereAreThey campaign will be dedicating Saturdays as a day to share stories of imprisoned friends and family members (pictures, videos, when and why they were imprisoned). #Eritrea

#Yiakl #Kifaya #Eritrea2020
As long as the oppressive regime continues to endeavour to erase their memories, this campaign will strive to counter that evil plot by telling and retelling their stories tirelessly. #WhereAreThey

🚨 BREAKING: Our team on the ground has been told by ICE there are now 16 people (8 families) detained at Karnes. #ShutDownKarnes

To top things off: About 600 of the women we connected with there are now missing.
What does this mean?

The ICE detainee locator says that they're at Karnes or that their info isn't available. At this moment we don’t know where the women are located.
We have at least one instance of ICE telling us women would be transferred to a certain city and their family members being told they were taken to another.

This is unacceptable
