The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is taking the opportunity this November, Lung Cancer Awareness Month, to highlight the burden and principal risk factors of lung cancer around the world.

Common symptoms of #asthma include
✅Breathlessness
✅ Coughing
✅ Wheezing
✅ Chest tightness
During an asthma attack, these symptoms become much worse. Asthma attacks can be fatal but are largely preventable and manageable.

What is Asthma?
It’s a chronic lung disease which causes breathing difficulties and affects sufferers to varying degrees, asthma is caused by swelling and inflammation of the air passages leading to & from your lungs to narrow.

This obstructs the path that oxygen takes to your lungs, resulting in shortness of breath. Asthma attacks can be physically & emotionally distressing. And in severe conditions, can lead to death.
Asthma is not usually curable but can be controlled to certain extents, depending on how it affects the sufferer. If asthma is controlled then sufferers can live relatively normal lives, although some triggers may have to be avoided.
I am an Asthmatic, i use inhalers, inhalers are not addictive. They cause your airways to open up. Duration of its action differs, inhalers with salmeterol or formoterol works for 12 hours. The steroid in the inhalers act to reduce inflammation inside airways and 1/
