Standing on the stage and with my little phone taking a photo of the hundreds of patients who have assembled for a Support Group Meeting - trying to capture their energy their joy the courage writ large in their faces . That my patients allow me to do this..
Take their photos , pose so happily , for selfies & more I owe them big time & not to mention the immense pleasure of being able to take photos so easily today. I grew up in an era when photos were precious . To own a camera was unthinkable. To get photographed was something else
Today capturing moments of beauty & sharing those with others is so easy & has brought so much joy in my life. So much respect for those who have for years before us ( in this era of instant gratification) wielded their precious cameras and given us not only joy but educated us

As today is #WorldPhotographyDay we thought we’d share some great shots in this thread of our @RNLI volunteers in action. First up is both our lifeboats outside our unique floating boathouse. (View thread for more).
Our volunteers often work with others to help save lives at sea. Here both our @RNLI lifeboats work with the @MCA_media rescue helicopter. #WorldPhotographyDay
Our @RNLI volunteers do get to see some special sights out at sea. On this shout they were blessed with calm seas under stormy skies as the sun went down. #WorldPhotographyDay

Photography at night allows us to see our dark surroundings in vastly different ways than our eyes perceive. Taking photos at night is often challenging, but the results are spectacular.

Let me show you some ancient architecture from Ranthambhore national park on #WorldPhotographyDay
This building, same as the one in the previous picture, is known as the Choti (or small) Chattri, so called because there is a larger one nearby called (not very creatively) Badi (or big) chattri. It’s basically a elevated, dome-shaped pavilion with a Shivling under it
Then there is this one very close to Choti Chattri. The platform is still there but not the rest.

Today is #WorldPhotographyDay, and in honor, I wrote an article today about some of the #photos and #photojournalist of #WWII.

Some of the most iconic photos in the world to this day, are photos taken during World War II. Here are some of the photos that I chose to highlight.
Robert Capa’s “Magnificent Eleven” from D-Day. He was on Omaha Beach during the invasion, and only eleven photos survived. For his work, Robert Capa was awarded the Medal of Freedom in 1947 by U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Margaret Bourke-white is the first woman war photographer and first Westerner allowed to photograph in the Soviet Union. Her photos of the liberation of the camps of the Holocaust are some of the most iconic images of the twentieth century. #ww2 #WorldPhotographyDay

Happy #WorldPhotographyDay! Photography is a vital part of animal advocacy, which is why we're grateful each and every day to the photographers who've generously donated photos to the NhRP for use in our campaigns.
Today we want to extend a special thank you to @gigiglendinning, whose work helps promote critical thinking about our relationships with nonhuman animals, especially those who, like our elephant client Minnie, spend their lives "hidden between stadium bleachers & semi-trucks."
This photo of a baby mountain gorilla in @gorillacd is part of Gigi's "Free to Be" series: graphicrabbit.photography

Sejak aku guna Leica ni, banyak juga komen yang aku nampak contohnya “Pehh pakai Leica patut gambar lawa”.
Actually camera is just a medium untuk kau hasilkan work kau.
Jadi sempena #WorldPhotographyDay ni, aku nak tunjuk work yang aku hasilkan guna berbagai jenis kamera lain.
So aku mulakan lah dengan Leica M240. Aku dah gunakan kamera ni untuk beberapa assignment slow pace, but assignment najib haritu memang fast pace, kalau kau dah mahir dengan manual focusing and setting exposure, then it should be okay.
My favourite photo of all time. Pacquiao vs Matthysse. Yang ini aku gunakan Nikon D3S dan 24-70mm. Untuk sports photo ni knowledge yang penting adalah cropping and know the sports itself so boleh capture moment yang terbaik.

It’s easy to feel trapped in the unending cycle of news coverage devoted to US politics. But photography is a useful reminder that the world is a much bigger place. So in celebration of #WorldPhotographyDay, here are some of our favorite photo stories 1/
Every weekend in countries around the world, men and women don elaborate costumes, adopt assumed identities, and meet up to enact fantastical scenes set in alternate realities. Photographer Boris Leist has captured it here. #WorldPhotographyDay wired.trib.al/C908Kl8 2/
As a child, Rachael Talibart spent her summers on her father’s sailboat, both frightened and fascinated by the sea. Now she’s a professional photographer, and is exploring that tension through her photo series, 'Sirens'. #WorldPhotographyDay wired.trib.al/T61R6GX 3/

The beauty of photography is that it allows us to relive memories that we cherish forever and with a camera always in my pocket, I’m able to capture so many. In celebration of #WorldPhotographyDay, I want to share some tricks I use to capture the perfect #ShotoniPhone photo.
1. Light is the most important element when taking a picture. I love natural light during the early hours of the morning or during sunset the way the sun tilts and shines its light at that time creates depth and perfect shadows, giving a touch of magic to the pictures.
2. Noticing details is a fundamental task that is completely yours. Being observant and providing value to each element, such as textures, colors, shadows, expressions and movements, will take your photos to the next level.
