We can never thank you enough. This is why I reiterate my support in urging DepEd to fill its vacancies in teaching positions to fully implement the blended learning modality this school year.
I likewise support DepEd’s plan of hiring para-teachers to assist our teachers and the distance learners with their lessons.

They say give honour to whom honour is due, today in commemoration of the World Teachers Day, the House salutes Mrs. Agnes Elusakin, a teacher from Government Senior College in Ikorodu who emerged the winner of 2019 best teacher Presidential Excellence Award.
In recognition of her achievement, the House invited her to the floor of the green chamber for a rousing ovation.
The Speaker of the @HouseNGR Rep. @femigbaja has called for an improved welfare package for Nigerian teachers as they join millions of their colleagues globally to mark this year's World Teachers' Day.

Speaker Gbajabiamila said with the tremendous task of teaching future leaders, Nigerian teachers deserve the best from governments at all levels as well as other well-meaning Nigerians.
He said the 9th National Assembly would ensure that the welfare of Nigerian teachers is well taken care of through adequate legislation and relevant resolutions.
Despite a modestly lower headline than expected, and noise from Hurricane Florence, today’s #payroll data continued the trend of remarkably strong labor #markets, particularly when upward revisions and a longer-term view are considered.
Yet, long-term interest rates will react to “the #shark closest to the boat,” which at this point is higher #wages, as this has historically transmitted into significantly higher inflation over time.
But while wage gains are decent today, we think they’re less likely to result in much higher #inflation, unless corporate pricing power shifts meaningfully higher. That’s partly because more of those #wages are likely to be saved, and also due to secular headwinds to inflation.
