50-year-old Wynn Bruce from Boulder, Colorado, died on April 23, one day after an act of self-immolation on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
Bruce, a photographer who identified as Buddhist, had reportedly lived in Boulder since 2000.

‘This act is not suicide. This is a deeply fearless act of compassion to bring attention to the climate crisis,’ said Kritee Kanko on Twitter, adding she was a friend of Bruce’s.
