Is #Polkadot $DOT still alive?
Is the “Ethereum Killer” narrative still valid?
What's new with the protocol that was supposed to replace #Ethereum?

Thread 🧵👇

The #Polkadot $DOT narrative was so strong that there was a temporary trend of pumping and getting excited about all projects that had anything to do with Polkadot.

1/ @AstarNetwork , the scalable blockchain as multi-chain smart contract hub, is very likely to become the No.1⃣ blockchain in #Japan in 2023. $ASTR

A 🧵 of highlight reasons on why #Astar will lead the Japanese Web3 innovation👇 Image
2/ Clear strategy

Astar Network, formerly Plasm Network, is a Polkadot dApp hub from Japan that supports Ethereum Virtual Machine, WebAssembly, dApp staking and layer 2 solutions.

The team continues to BUIDL and innovate since 2019.

3/ Strong technology

Astar is a #parachain of @Polkadot that enables developers to build interoperable dApps. The Layer-1 chain supports both #EVM and #WASM smart contracts with cross-consensus messaging (#XCM) and cross-virtual machine messaging (#XVM).

In this thread, we will discuss the distinguishing features of Polkadot that makes it stand out from the crowd.

1⃣Shared security

The shared security means all the connected parachains leverage the security of the Polkadot relay chain, irrespective of their market cap.

The parachain with a $5 million market cap is as secure as the relay chain with an $8 billion market cap.

1/ Two weeks ago Moonbeam introduced the first proof-of-concept for EVM access through XCM via Runtime 1701- a big step forward in unifying functionality cross-chain #connectedcontracts

What does this mean?

A thread 🧵
2/ Although still in its testing phase, XCM-to-EVM call functionality will allow devs on other parachains to trigger function calls on Moonbeam’s EVM
moonbeam.network/announcements/…
3/ This means that parachains on @Polkadot will be able to tap into the Moonbeam EVM to carry out functions remotely & opens the door for new connected contract use cases that exist between many chains ⛓🔁⛓

Reasons we are bullish on @Polkadot & @MoonbeamNetwork, ESPECIALLY in #bearmarket

$GLMR $DOT

(Alert: Long Thread🧵)
#Polkadot is multi-chain. Single chains are popular BUT problems are cropping up. #Ethereum: high gas fee, low speed. #Solana: high latency, questionable security. Feel free to name others.

Being multi-chain allows Polkadot to solve the blockchain trilemma. Now parachains can be scalable, secure AND decentralized. polkadot.network/Polkadot-light…

In the months since its initial launch, @MoonbeamNetwork has proven to be the go-to destination for builders in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Let’s take a look at why so many multi-chain and native projects alike have selected Moonbeam as their destination of choice.🧵
1. Full EVM Compatibility and Solidity Support
#Moonbeam is EVM compatible, but #Polkadot does not natively support the EVM (Ethereum virtual machine), which means that developers cannot directly use Solidity smart contracts in the Polkadot ecosystem.
#Moonwell
This is problematic for projects that are already live on Ethereum or another EVM-compatible network. For all of these reasons, the Moonbeam team worked with Parity to develop the Frontier pallet to provide EVM compatibility for the broader Polkadot ecosystem.

1 - An emerging player in interoperability is @ComposableFin who unites the #IBC, #EVM, & #XCM ecosystems. Connecting the fragments that today make up DeFi, Composable aims to achieve composability through a system wherein the whole of DeFi is greater than the sum of its parts 🧵
2 - At the core of Composable's innovation is its Cross-Chain Virtual Machine (XCVM). Through natively cross-chain smart contracts, true composability across multiple ecosystems is achievable.

This is a big, what they're setting out to do even exceeds @LayerZero_Labs's offering
3 - As solutions like LZ's achieve interoperability via trusted relayers & oracles, it's through a reactive approach that smart contracts on different apps/chains can interact. Since devs still need to choose a "home", it forces them to have to make a difficult decision

This intern loves $aUSD.

Here's how @AcalaNetwork can take it beyond @polkadot and @kusama, increasing the accessible active user base from 1 to 15+ million users.

#acala #AUSD #Polkadot
@AcalaNetwork @Polkadot @Kusama $aUSD is uniquely interoperable by nature, meaning it can transferred cross-chain to any parachain on Polkadot or Kusama.$aUSD can also be trustlessly integrated by any Polkadot or Kusama parachain DApp.
@AcalaNetwork @Polkadot @Kusama This is made possible by @polkadot and @kusama's #XCM, a is fully on-chain internal messaging protocol realizing the vision of "shared security".

Thanks to XCM $aUSD can become the defacto stablecoin of @polkadot and @kusama. But what about using $aUSD outside the #DOTSAMA? 🤔
