There has been an increase in discussion from the average person on the implications a #CBDC will have on their daily lives. We are seeing it discussed on @joerogan and with that comes mass market attention.
The biggest point of concern seems to be a big brother approach from a Country in their #CBDCs code or implementation. I believe this fear is over stated and based on the fact that E-cny was the first in the market.
PSA: The #CSCL #CasinoCoin to #XRPL $CSC swap has NOT started yet. While the XRPL CSC already available as an asset in #XUMM and you could send XRPL CSC to it, NO ONE OUT THERE does own any.

#PayID just went live. #XUMM is one of the launching wallets with #PayID support. All XUMM users can send to PayID addresses (with XRPL destinations).

Just like email addresses, a PayID can be issued to you by a provider. One PayID can contain multiple destinations (multiple rails), so one PayID can contain eg. your XRPL address, a bank account, a BTC address, etc.
To the educated eye, the commit history for the XUMM App & Backend mentioned PayID a few times already, in the past months ;) Hidden in plain sight.
So: open XUMM, tap Send, enter a random amount, and instead of entering the destination XRPL account address, try:

So you created an account in #XUMM and got "Secret Numbers". Now you want to use this account elsewhere, where Secret Numbers are not implemented, but a "Family Seed" (s...) is. Good news, you can convert your Secret Numbers to a Family Seed now: github.com/WietseWind/secโฆ
โ ๏ธ Please know this is ONE WAY. Secret Numbers can be derived into a Family Seed (s...) but not the other way around. When derived, both (Secret Numbers and Family Seed) work, and BOTH HAVE TO BE SECURED BY YOU, STORED IN A SAFE PLACE, NOT ENTERED IN A COMPROMISED ENVIRONMENT โ ๏ธ
So why would you do this? Eg. if you want to import your XUMM generated account in another wallet (client) as well, like @ToastWallet. Or if you worry #XUMM will not be there one day (won't be the case) and you can't use Secret Numbers elsewhere (won't be the case: open source)
Adding to the coming XUMM beta: when sending funds, when entering/scanning a destination account XUMM will analyse the incoming transactions for the destination. If most of them have a destination tag, #XUMM will make the destination tag mandatory.
While working on this feature I was shocked by the amount of exchange wallet without the "Destination tag required" flag set. Analysing deposits I found that about 30% of all deposits are accidentally missing the tag. That won't happen anymore to #XUMM users.
We're also adding the Destination Tag field to a mandatory popover instead of a regular input field. You can't move to the final step of sending your transaction without the tag.
After the @Cloudflare outage two days ago @alloynetworks and I started working on failover infrastructure for the xrpl.ws XRP ledger node cluster.

This setup allows us to (depending on how bad things are during a possible future outage):
- Reroute Cloudflare inbound traffic to the fallback infra
- Switch hostnames

โ ๏ธ Please note! Please DO NOT use wss://xrpl.link as your primary endpoint, as features like geo based routing & low latency routing are *NOT* available: that's wss://xrpl.ws only. Cloudflare outage? We'll try to reroute. xrpl.link = last resort.
The wss://xrpl.ws (xrpl.ws) cluster (redundant community provided full history XRP ledger nodes) now added a dedicated pool of nodes handling "Submit" commands/transactions.
Result: even cheaper transaction submission and guaranteed confirmation by another node.

... And of course the cluster will take care of everything. This means you can switch your existing applications / clients (eg. Toast, Wallet) to xrpl.ws without any modifications necessary.

Yes: I *do* believe what we are building is going to be *one of the many* things that potentially help grow the ecosystem, utility, use cases, etc. *BUT*, people expect #XUMM to "do something for the price". Like: immediately. A big bang. (2/...)
When it comes to XUMM, I can ensure you there will not be a big bang. People will install, setup, try, ... and keep on holding. Meanwhile we will work on updates, licenses and dev. & recipient & partner implementations so there are actually places to pay using XUMM. (3/...)
